it wasnt entirely capcom's fault the game sucked. Marvel screwed them hard, making them use MCU characters, not supporting the game both financially and as a partner in general. It sucks because I feel the combat in this game is great. But the lack of support, and the smaller roster with the obvious missing characters killed it.

Can't wait for Maximilian Dood's MVCI Beyond project to come out with the way better graphics, artstyle, and music for this game.

But it’s disappointing to know this game receives such a negative reputation; I believe it deserves more recognition. The story is quite engaging, with an intriguing plot. Moreover, the combat mechanics are surprisingly robust, offering much more depth and satisfaction than one might initially expect. Overall, despite its shortcomings, there are aspects of the game that truly shine.

Since you’re a beginner at the mvc series there’s much you don’t know such as that every character has 3 unique special abilities that requires certain amount of bars to perform. One ability requires 1 bar to perform and the other 2 requires 3 bars to perform. There’s a certain way to perform said ability though

MVCI is fun. Prefer it over MVC2.
