For me there be no better fishing then for trout.
I grew up and still live in Vermont and from 2000-2020 the fishing was in a decline but in the last two seasons I have got the best fish of my life so far,fish I have tried to catch my whole life and just couldn’t get lucky.
In my book any trout from Vermont that are 20 inches min ate a wall mountable fish.
You may go your whole life and only get a few great fish.
So far this year I have got one 20 in brown and another 24 at n brown which is my biggest trout ever.
Last hear I also got 3 browns worthy of mounting.
I catch over 100 trout per summer and only keep one huge trout of the 3 river species we have in Vermont.
I keep the biggest brown I catch and 1 big rainbow and since Brook trout only get up to 8-12 inches I’ll keep the more off them,so I only keep about 5 brook trout each year and let all others go free.
Only it a fish will my service or are bleeding form the gills will keep it.
So really I let free 97% of my catches.
Once you get a huge fish and land it you’ll love fishing.
It’s a rush to fight a huge fish and I have lost many battles and won few .

This was my favorite episode of all of them--the trek through the wild and remote land of Mongolia, to catch the wild and remote Taimen fish. It was an episode of beauty and wonder to me. I've long wondered what Mongolia was like, and this episode just topped all my expectations!

Lmao 🤣 This guy has never ever caught a "monster" fish he just caught fish.....lol 🤣 I caught a 36lb carp few weeks back and it's bigger than most fish he ever caught in the show.....and it wasn't dramatic at all.......🤷‍♂️

As an avid streamer fisherman it is always when you are bringing the fly back that the fish decide they want it. They will hit a fly even when it looks silly on top .
