If you do't like the ger ratios, take it to a good aftermarket shop and they can swap 'em out. So quit you're freaking whining.
ОтветитьIt’s strange they didn’t just call it Boxster Coupe. If Porsche thinks it’s a different car, they should offer a convertible hard top version. Lol 😆
ОтветитьHow's the comfort for taller people? Nothing worse that going over a bump and hitting your head on the headliner.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьThe lesson is, get a mid engine sports car, because they handle easy and well.
ОтветитьWich issue? Learn to drive
ОтветитьYes but Matt which one would you go for ?
ОтветитьBS about gear ratios if you don’t have anything else to criticise.
ОтветитьWow!!! A commercial? Just wow!
ОтветитьWaiting for shorter ratios…..and ceramics that don’t squeal!!!!! Would be soooo pissed about spending the $ for ceramics, having to listen to that. People are actually starting to spin that squeal as “cool”….F that!! Great vid as always Matt! Thx.
ОтветитьGreat video Matt, you looked so comfortable driving a very technical road!
Ответитьthe best scene of the cameras
ОтветитьFor me (with stress on ME), transmissions like the PDK simply make manual shifters a quaint historical artifact, and I happily bid them good-bye...I love being able to 'unify' my steering input at all times with both hands and concentrate exclusively on interfacing with the road, along with my feet being able to be situated at all times on brake + gas, with no 'extraneous' back-and-forth extra input for clutch...(Again, for me) Manual shifting detracts from being able to truly 'become one' with the overall movement of the vehicle on the road---having needless, extra layers of physical input from the driver between them and the road is now gloriously a thing of the past.
ОтветитьLove those Porsche and Love the road pun 🌿✌🏾🤗
ОтветитьNo it doesnt, its still slow and long geared..
ОтветитьAND now we have the GT4 RS coming
ОтветитьIs it just me or did the manual sound better?
ОтветитьWhy can't Porsche just fix the manual ratios, or offer a shoter ratios as an option. Having to pull appart a brand new GT4 to have a 3rd part workshop fix it is not acceptable.
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention which one you'd choose: manual or PDK?
Ответитьnon manual gt4 is criminal, gear ratios are longish not imperfect, my arbitrary opinion, keep up the great work bruv
Ответить+1.. I'm seasick after watching. . . Spec the 6sp manual and opt for the Ten Large $USD gear ratio change & the DeMan Motorsport 4.5l engine enhancement.
ОтветитьPDK is a clear winner!
ОтветитьI live in an area with tons of narrow, twisty, and tight roads. What are the best cars to drive besides the GT4? I'm looking for a small, nimble but capable car.
ОтветитьManual is Old Hat.
ОтветитьIn my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful sports cars ever put on the road, and that's saying a lot given all the competition it gets from within it's own brand. Utterly gorgeous car!!
ОтветитьThe brake squeak ?
ОтветитьMan!! this car is so sick! I need one!
ОтветитьThe PDK adds 30kg to the kerb weight, but has 10Nm more torque, is 1/2 sec faster than the manual 0-100kph and has launch control. So for my needs, i'd go for the PDK for sure, but with after market mods to further improve the gearbox and clutch.
Ответитьcringe shave bs. next
ОтветитьWHERE IS THAT ROADDD??? Unbelievable!!! WOWWW
ОтветитьCongratulations to whoever made that road.
ОтветитьFantastic driving! Wish we had roads like this where I live so I could enjoy my Cayman the way it was meant to be driven.
ОтветитьLove your videos!! I thought I tired of my love of sports cars but after a couple years in my Lincoln Aviator I'm ready to get back to driving fun!!! This GT4 reminds me of my first car, a Datsun 510, albeit with a lot more tech and power. Thanks for the great videos!!!
Ответитьyou can change gears if you want or need or not!
ОтветитьWonderful....Where is this Yerba Buena Road...
ОтветитьAnybody know the name of the road?
ОтветитьIs it not that the car is just too fast for the roads? With something a lot less powerful like an MX-5 you'll get to use gears 1 to 4. It will be more or less the same with all powerful sports car won't it - especially those with a high redline. Is the lesson that it doesn't matter whether you choose manual or PDK - you'll never really need to change gear. Probably why most people buy PDK because at least it's good for traffic.
ОтветитьLooks like one of the back canyon roads in NorCal
Ответитьcan someone point me to where i can read more about this long gearing issue? i want to learn what exactly is the issue
ОтветитьI so wish I had roads like that near me
ОтветитьBeautiful road for driving. Where is this?
ОтветитьWhat road is this?
ОтветитьTell it how it is. If you want stick, get a stick. But I am tired about hearing about the gearing. Dope video. These are the roads these cars are meant for.
ОтветитьMob Monster
ОтветитьAs a cyclist and P-car owner, I appreciate the explanation about waiting for 30 minutes before going hard on the up hill road. Early morning canyon runs are the best.
ОтветитьI'm sure that a GT4 with PDK does have not only lower gears but more gears but that doesn't mean that Porsche couldnt have made the manual for the GT4 with lower gear ratios Porsche for whatever reason deliberately nerfed the manual versions with long gearing and more enjoyable to shift but instead Porsche purposely made the manual option for the Cayman not as performance oriented as it could have been.
ОтветитьDog: Hi I’d like to go to dog heaven
ОтветитьNever get why engineers would put a manual in a track oriented car thats all about times and being the fastest around a track, also irl it makes no sense, the world is one big traffic jam and don't come at me with the 'it's more engagiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing' people who say that never drove a car.
ОтветитьAs an avid cyclist and an enthusiastic driver of a Porsche, I am most appreciative of your concern regarding cyclists. Lycra versus a 4,000-5,000 pond car is a no contest!
ОтветитьWe've got a few roads like this in norcal, it's where this car belong. Nice driving. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
