MBP 16 M1 Pro 10c/16c 16GB
ОтветитьSo, 13 inch M1 first gen is still can outlast and performs better than M1 pro - compared to price and size.
ОтветитьDoes the 16’ actually get 21 hours of useage ?
ОтветитьThanks man. Your presentation helped clear up a few questions and doubts. The only remaining concern I have is the limit of 32GB of unified memory/ram in selecting the M1 Pro. I don't foresee any virtual orchestra plug-ins being used in my music projects, but should the power requirements demand it, I'd like to assured that my machine could manage it, without skipping a beat. Yes, I meant to say that. 🎶🎵😁
ОтветитьHonestly surprised how you got to 1,2 million subs.....the M1 16" was rendering way more than the 14" in an hour. I mean, quite a rookie mistake? Anyone can buy 4 computers and put software on
Ответитьthat last 5 seconds is the best part of this video
ОтветитьCooling system are closed….
ОтветитьMacs always get same performance on battery
ОтветитьI bought the 16" M1 Pro because of this battery test and it is AMAZING. Thank you!!!
ОтветитьThank you !
ОтветитьVery interesting video! I have to say, to the people saying “you should have the M1 max” playing back at reduced quality”, then you’re defeating the point a little bit. You’d buy the max to be able to do things faster and at better playback resolutions… otherwise you’d just get the pro. I think the 16inch pro is a great middle ground
ОтветитьHey guys i have a question regarding the battery of my 16” M1 Pro
Does chrome takes in more battery? Bcs i only receive 7 hrs of usage (from 100%-40%) in my 16” M1 Pro Macbook pro
So 60% in 7 hours after full running chrome, apple music, a bit of zoom
Should i exchange my macbook pro because of this?
I loved my 2010 MacBook Pro. Repaired/upgraded it 3x, replaced 4x the battery, it got in overall probably 3000-4000 charging cycles on it and was abused heavily.
Time to upgrade, i ordered the 16" base model with the unbinned chip at least, it will be definately a HUGE UPGRADE to my good old 2010 15" MBP.
Remember that the macbook pro 13'' is running 60Hz while the new macbooks are running 120 when doing mouse things lol :D
ОтветитьI was confused with the 14-inch M1 pro 1 TB with the Base 16inch model, but I'm glad I chose the 16inch model in the end. Massive difference in the battery life. Thank you for making this video.
Ответить16 M1 Pro is my choice
ОтветитьThanks a lot for such great comparison. I looked for reviews about battery life tests for 16 inches models M1Pro Vs M1Max. I would say this is the best review. Like and subscribe from me.
ОтветитьWith a military discount from Apple, 16 inch costs $2249, very tempting to grab over $2499...
ОтветитьIs it true that on binned vs unbinned m1 pro 14 the battery actually lasts longer on the unbidden in light use?
Ответитьmacbook PRO M1 16" :)
ОтветитьHello! Thank you very much for your review!!
I have a question for you. If the battery settings (Max) are set to low consumption, will it last longer like a Pro?
I'm a graphic designer, mostly using photoshop and illustrator. No 3d design or video editing.
(sorry, I'm writing with google translator)
I'm so happy with my MBP 13. It's working smoothly and I'm satisfied with the battery life
ОтветитьA lot of people actually doesn’t need the performance of M1 Max.
ОтветитьThr results ultimately show that the M1 Pro Macbook Pro 16 inch had the best battery life out of all Macbooks, including the 13 inch with its 4 efficiency cores. That was the big reason I went with the 16 inch even though I'm not a video editor and I'm impressed
ОтветитьYou are doing a good job. Everyone makes mistakes. Owning it determines character and credibility. Keep up the good work 👍
ОтветитьThank you so much 😊
ОтветитьThermal and fan speed difference would be nice to know?? :D
ОтветитьIn car terms it is like getting a 700hp hellcat for just daily work commutes and occasional highway driving. you're burning through ridiculous amounts of fuel and rarely get to use all that power. Sure you have all that potential but honestly are you ever going to use it? This max machine is made for a figurative race car driver that will be using this for extremely intensive applications and probably making money of its use tbh. Going back to the car analogy, do you really need all that horsepower to drive to work and the grocery store? No. Is it still badass and fun to do it? Of course!
ОтветитьI'm sad with the results of my MBP 14
ОтветитьSafari > Chrome
Ответитьim getting 8 hours, but im also running two 4k monitors and 4k video/xcode etc
ОтветитьApple add upgradeable storage and ram to your machines.
Save the planet from waste.
And increase the long term value and use of your products.
Did you have a chance to make a video on the 14 Max with 64GB 32GPU by any chance? That would be interesting.
ОтветитьOke the MacBook Pro 13 inch wins 👌
ОтветитьSomething's iffy about your M1 Pro results. Your 14 inch uses more Wh than 16 even though it has 2 fewer cores. And even if they were both 10pc there should be no reason for 14 to draw more power. Since the Wh calculation is based on battery rated Wh (69.6 and 99.6) * % on the indicator, the variance here will be the actual battery capacity (which can be more or less than typical rated, depending on individual battery) and the fact that % indicator in macOS sucks balls.
Next time you do a battery test use coconutBattery (or just run a terminal command) to see the actual battery parameters and actual consumption.
The MAX can't even last 3 hours. Pretty pathetic for a device that costs thousands of dollars.
ОтветитьNice vid! Thanks! I went with 16” Max! And never regret! 👌
ОтветитьOk, now in 2023, how about M2 Macbook Pro?
ОтветитьI want 13s battery on 14
Ответитьlike i always dont get why people are so fixated on the "but how about the max performance unplugged?" argument, its unrealistic to think you can always leave home with 100 percent battery most of the time, so in that case, when doing heavy workloads, you are going to plug in anyway unless u only want an hour of battery, so comparing to a windows laptop unplugged in some sense for benchmark purposes makes sense, for real world use not so much, i mean people arent doing these heavy workloads in some isolated deserted area, the idea is we are away from home, not away from a plug
Ответитьoh i did mistake i buy max i thought simple pro and max have same battery life but it give me around 8-10 hours now i thought i should buy pro
Ответитьjust updated from my MBP M1 base model to MBP M1 Pro 16, the battery feels a bit drain. i think the more you have core it will take your power consumptions, somehow even when i use the 16 on casual usage it hit 47-49 celcius (using iStat menu). but yeah the 16 inch gives you more fluid experience for work. nice review
ОтветитьSo, the battery hit isnt as significant without heavy graphics tasks. So, for me as a music producer and photo editor the impact will be not so big as a coder or 3d modeler
ОтветитьYes, the 16 inch m1 pro is the golden middle
ОтветитьHey Chaps! Which MBP would you go for??
Update 1: Full test lineup is:
👉 MBP 13 M1 8c/8c 16GB
👉 MBP 14 M1 Pro 8c/14c 16GB
👉 MBP 16 M1 Pro 10c/16c 16GB
👉 MBP 16 M1 Max 16c/32c 64GB
Update 2: Heat is mostly exhausted underneath/back, so proximity to side of others won’t have significant impact 👍
