This movie is awesome

This is still my favorite Asterix movie. Costumes were beautifully adapted and the whole story was just pure fun. To this day i use a lot of jokes in conversations with my friends. Really loved this movie.

A childhood memory, but more than that—something deeper. Europe was different then, more connected to its historic roots. I believe there was a galactic alignment at play, something not everyone could observe, yet everyone was influenced by it. It manifested in films, in beers—yes, beers. And of course, I wasn’t drinking them at six, but my father and uncle did.

That was the first time I truly felt the weight of authentic European culture—something ancient, far older than Greece and all that nonsense. And it wasn’t just this film; there were other things, as I’ve said before. But this one stands as a prime example.

It's 2025 and I'm still watching versions 1 and 2 of Asterix and Obelix, the music is legendary. Unfortunately, it is not possible to find such quality movies

How do they always make one small piece of music so epic.?

When I was a kid like 6-7 years old, my mother had a friend who owned a second hand bookstore and she always let me roam the store. I always ran to the comic section to read Asterix & Obelix comics. These times were my best childhood times.

A good live-action adaptation is only possible when the movie would succeed even without its name recognition. This was definitely one of these rare examples.

At home, mom made an omelet with baked tomatoes and chicken, I change clothes, grab a plate of omelet and run to my room, I have a small TV in the corner, and 2 Asterix and Obelix movies in a row are about to start on it.

I'm sitting, chewing an omelette, and watching movies. I love this movie and this soundtrack)

This is how you do a live action adaptation. Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm can learn something from this. This project had nowhere near the budget of what Disney has available with every movie and yet the characters and production design look like the comics to the detail.
