I agree with you that it is not bad to be a consumer based economy to some extent.. Our exports currently are about 22-25% in the last few years.

We were not much of a manufacturing exporter, However the PLI schemes and other activies are beginning to bear fruit. Service + Merchandise exports may start trending towards 30 percent, at least high twenties. Also, there were some products where the exports was not very large, due to high internal demand. Now, we will continue to have more and more available for exports.

To some extent I agree with Qaiser Raja... India does not have fortune 500 organizations like Lashkar-E-Taiyaba, Jaish-E-Mohammed etc who can do recruitment through out the year.....They r generating loads of job requirements in some countries....
