Now life is going to be tough for the next hundred years. Peace out.
ОтветитьThis might not make the top ten best movies ever made, but it's just so rewatchable. I've seen it more times than any other...
ОтветитьEverything Man, Everything MR Man!
ОтветитьWeird fact # 21. At the end of the movie when they are playing "Jailhouse Rock" , one recognizable inmate, played by Joe Walsh (from The Eagles), jumps on the table and makes the entire room start dancing around.
ОтветитьOh,man,i lied it so much,i've even bought a cassette with a songs from the movie.
In the 90'es, that's is😅😅😅.
Boring narrating and that flickering frame is shite
ОтветитьI have a
director's cut
of this movie ! 🎬 👈😼
And I wouldn't sell it for a $1,000.00 bucks
3 Orange whips ! 🍊🥤
Ответить😎😎
ОтветитьOh no my friend. I’m not gonna give it like, It’s ❤! I give.
That is a Classic Movie
I am on a Mission from God
Recurring theme here. Don't try to make a legend like James Brown, Ray Charles, or Aretha Franklin lip sync.
ОтветитьThey were on a mission from God.
ОтветитьMy favourite movie of all time ❤
ОтветитьWhen my son was 2 years old he loved this film. Still does 25 years on
ОтветитьAlmost had a blues mobile, found one in the back of a used car lot, I didn't have cash for a down payment and was gone when I got back. Did not know at the time it was seriously undervalued only a few hundred survive as they were the preferred cop car of its day and most got run to death or wrecked.
ОтветитьI don't recall if I saw the movie in theater or not - but I've seen it so many times. I was 14 when this came out - this was also the year I was turned onto The Clash London Calling album! But as a lad growing up in the haze of metro NYC - it was epic for my crew - both the movie & music turned us on to the Blues Brothers music as well as shed a light onto stars we would never hear from. RIP Jake
ОтветитьStupid A1 doesn't know the difference between live and live...
ОтветитьGod I love this movie. Will never forget seeing it in the cinema with my parents. A better age gone by. Thank you for the background on Ray Charles, Cab Galloway, James Brown and Aretha Franklin and their wonderful integrity in producing the music in this film ( and that's not forget john lee hookers performance at maxwell street, which was a chicago institution that we now have lost). I am from chicago and this film really captured the cool fun spirit of our city at least back in those days.
ОтветитьOne of the best movies EVER made! Long Live the Penguin!
ОтветитьThe Blues Brothers is one of those movies that must be watched any time you come across it. It's just a fantastic movie!
ОтветитьThe Blues Brothers id one of the greatest movies ever made without a doubt, right up there with Animal House!
ОтветитьOur lady of blessed acceleration, don’t fail me now
ОтветитьAs a kid, we used to go shopping at Dixie Square Mall in the early 70's, before it closed.
Also, our youngest son (born in 1980) wore Blues Brothers suits fairly regularly. He had to get a second one after he outgrew his first one! lol.
My son and I just started watching this only because with some two a band called Nathaniel Rateliff and the night sweats. They have a song called SOB that takes place basically just like at the end of the movie. It’s hard to tell if my son liked the movie, he wasn’t answering or nothing like I was, but he asked to watch the rest of it in the morning after we went to bed so I guess.
ОтветитьI've heard some different takes on some of this. Don't know which versions to believe.
ОтветитьI was 4 1/2 when this came out. Didn't catch it till I was in late grade school at some point. Normally I hate "musicals" even today. But this... hit a perfect balance. Loved it then, love it now. I make a point to rewatch it periodically. Classic movie.
ОтветитьUp In Smoke, Young Frankenstein and The Blues Brothers, timeless classics that will never be forgotten.
ОтветитьPlot hole: The "Mission from God" is a need to raise money to pay an overdue tax bill.
A tax bill owed by a church-based orphanage.
Both churches and orphanages are tax-exempt organizations under US Law.
one of my favourite scenes is - in the jail. 🦅🎉🦅
Ответить#13 Is wrong! Cab Calloway had done a disco version of Minnie the Moocher in 1978. He showed up ready to do that and was not very happy when the film makers insisted on the older version.
ОтветитьNumber one tv show. Number one album. Number one group . Best movie ever . Love you Carrie
ОтветитьI grew up in Chicagoland area.
I know almost all of the public areas that the films shot, and it always gave me a thrill to see the shots.
Upper and Lower Wacker drive, Daley Plaza, Dixie square mall, Maxwell street, Calumet river...... its like a movie of my youth!
BIG BIG FACT NOT MENTIONED!!!
The movie is based on a FALSE premise!!!!
The brothers put on a concert to raise money for the property taxes on the catholic church run orphanage they grew up in.
WHO doesn't pay property tax????
THE CATHOLIC CHURCH and the orphanages they run.
I grew up just North of Joliet. I've driven past that prison hundreds of times. Fun fact. The opening scene when Jake gets of of prison silhouetted by the rising sun behind him was shot in the evening. The sun is actually in the west.
ОтветитьGenius. The only musical that doesn't annoy me.
ОтветитьI'm not absolutely positive, but I don't remember ever laughing when I saw this movie, not even once. I remember almost urinating myself when I saw the movie, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. It's was chaotic, but the writers and actors were the best. The Blues Brothers was just a jumbled up mess. I really enjoyed the musical artists, but the rest was just a bunch of scenes that went nowhere, did nothing, and wasn't even remotely funny. I can't for the life of me, understand why people loved The Blues Brothers. Maybe, if I was a cocaine addic, I might have chuckled once or twice?
ОтветитьThis was the era when SNL was actually funny, instead of bashing politicians & making political statements. The skits & gags were funny on their own.
ОтветитьRemember those good old days when neo-Nazis were roundly seen as objectively bad? No “both sides”-ing the issue.
ОтветитьThey should publish the original draft!!!
ОтветитьIn the 90s in WWE thet had 2 wrestlers in a fued Big Show and Big Boss Man and in 1 thing they did a mock funeral for Big Shows dad n Boss Man drove up in the exact same Ford same paint job n same giant speaker hooked the casket to the car drove off with Big Show on the casket
ОтветитьThis is from the golden age of comedy. There will never be anything as raw, funny and real as The Blues Brothers!
ОтветитьI have only seen it once, in the theater, and the scene that stays with me is the country bar. "We like both kinds of music here, Country and Western."
ОтветитьSeems like a black movie starring two white guys. I saw it as a kid, couldn't make heads or tails of it. Can remember a single scene from the whole thing.
ОтветитьDan Aikeroid??? Jesus man, learn how to narrate your own fucking videos. It’s actually fun learning how to do things. Try it
ОтветитьRawhide.
ОтветитьI was one of those people that went to the Valhalla.
ОтветитьI need to see this movie again.
ОтветитьThat was one great movie! I believe there was a second one also.
ОтветитьMy all time favorite movie. I grew up in NW Indiana just a few miles from Chicago and tried to be an extra. Even the local radio stations were giving away cars from the movie!! But I never won one.
