It's beautiful there!
I'll put that on my list of places I'd like to visit😁😁
My Grandpa not only delivered the mail to Esclante but engineered the bridge. My dad was a boy the time was there when they where building it.
ОтветитьBoomers??
ОтветитьAwesome road. I Put it on my exploration list. The vlog would have been better without the U-turn however. Escalante is a nice stop
ОтветитьGorgeous scenery! 😊
ОтветитьBut you didn't tell the WHOLE fascinating story of HOW the road and bridge were built. This video is just a bunch of superficial fluff. It sure deserved a big THUMBS DOWN. However, if anyone reading this is ever in Escalante or Boulder, you definitely do need to make the trip and learn the story that was ignored here.
ОтветитьThank you. It looked like quite an adventure
ОтветитьHa.. That was my project. Blast from the past. I administered that contract 20 years ago. Amazing project!
ОтветитьJust a quick plug: Hell's Backbone Grill is my favorite restaurant in the world. I've altered vacation plans just to stop there. And this road is amazing. The bridge is a real thrill for me. Thank you!
ОтветитьThat road and bridge were very scary,YIKES!😱
ОтветитьThank you for this. I’ve passed the sign for Hell’s Backbone since 1976 but never ventured out there. This summer I think I will give it a go. Got to be better than driving a bulldozer over 2 pine trees over the backbone.
ОтветитьYou use the word "scary" more than once, why ? This is pavement ! Good grief !
ОтветитьNice video. Been there and photographed it myself several years ago.
ОтветитьDefinitely gonna check that place out
ОтветитьYou could give me $1000 cash and I WOULD NOT drive that road.
I don't do cliffs.
Nice job capturing those images, and it was paired nicely with the music.
ОтветитьThat is a cool bridge I didn't know about it. A few weeks ago we started up that road but turned around just before the pavement ended. We was in my show truck that we was taking to a car show in panguitch UT. I put up a few videos on my channel about our trip and car show from that weekend.
ОтветитьI used to drive for a living. I still love driving all kinds of places. I drove that and the “Hogback” near Escalante. Only damn roads ever, to raise the hair on the back of my neck. Will NEVER do it again.
