Judging from the time period that "Mikey Franzese" appears in the film (early 60's) I think that character actually should be Sonny Franzese. It makes more sense and the actor looks more like Michael's dad.

I’m happy to see he’s coming around with James Gandolfini and The Sopranos. I saw in a previous video where he really knocked the shows “realism” because of the therapy dynamic.

I don’t disagree with what he said, that they’d end up in the trunk of a car if it were real life. The show, however, is about a lot more than just the mobster/therapist dynamic.

Hiya. I’ve asked this 72 times and have never gotten a response. I’m hoping Michael can answer. In Goodfellas, why does Ray Liotta say “ Michael Franchayzeee” he botched his name so terribly was it on purpose ? I grew up in the Roslyn area although I am younger than Michael... everyone knew the last name as “FranZESE” ! It just bothers me when non Italians botch Italian pronunciation. Ray Liotta and “ScorCESE” shoulda known better. And that’s another last name I hear pronounced wrong constantly. People say “ScorChayzee” remember folks. I’m Italian American a G before an N is silent and anything that ends in Chese Zese sese sounds just how it looks. There’s no “chay” in the name. I’m Italian and it’s one of the things that makes me cringe when people get last names wrong.
