See i optimised my tv with extra sharpness saturation and other settings etc, so my resolution looks like pc graphics.

I tried play this game on XSS, but it was very blurry, it’s a shame that Rockstar didn’t release a next gen patch, many Xone games run at 900p or lower on XSS 🥲

I play this game for the first time just recently this week, it blows me away that this game can still compete among current gen games.

It may be lacking in term of technology, the textures are not as sharp as most current gen games, no ray tracing but it looks and play much better than games that boasted about how high tech they are but full of bugs and weak art direction.

I'm still amazed at how good it looks and plays on the base PS4. It was the first game that made me have to open mine up and clean it though, it was red hot and loud as a jet otherwise.

I wish there was a next gen release for this game on the new consoles.

And thanksfully, on ps5 and Series X, we have a little game boost, and lock all at 30 fps but textures are same ... Hope a next gen patch one day 😮

I play rdr2 on ps4 pro and it doesn't look like in the video.

I'll stick to a console version because the PC version currently does not support offline launch. You cannot launch the game if your PC is not connected to a stable internet connection.

it just sucks sony half assed the ps4 pro otherwise we would be getting the xbox one x type of version. playing it on ps5 but its only running the ps4 pro version so even though i have system capable of running the one x version it wont it can only do the 1080p checkerboard rendering. it looks better than ps4 but not as sharp as xbox one x.

I played this on a ps4 with no hdr and I was shocked at how amazing the graphics were, cant wait to play this on a 4090 at native 4k 120fps ultra settings with hdr on a qd-oled tv with a home theatre, its gonna be whole different game.

Wow, came here to check how the consoles compared to the steam deck since I was getting some framedrops to 29-27 RARELY in saint denis and wanted to see if that was normal for last gen consoles as I am using DF's recommended settings (turned up a bit)...I am absolutely blown away that the steam deck can outperform all of these console's with red dead 2 (slightly lower res of course, but on a 7 inch screen especially, those ppi are incredible).

And I'm talking like, extremely rare frame drops compared to these. It holds a solid 30 fps even on horseback 98% of the time in saint denis (and can even get a solid 40fps everywhere but towns)

XBOX ONE X IS VERY SIMILAR NVIDIA GFORCE 1060 GTX 4 GB VRAM & CORE i3 3700, 8 GB RAM DDR4 3200 MHz IN TERMS ON REAL PERFORMANCE ON DIRECTX 12 & WINDOWS 10. VERY LOWEST COST FOR GAMING.

Finally verdict from DF best place to play this game on is

He says it didn’t drop as low as it did on the one x….. the one x dropped to 23 the ps4 pro dropped to 23… ummmmm… also he says the base Xbox is sluggish when it’s 3 frames less 😂

time for rockstar to enhance rdr2 for ps5! its a shame that it is capped at 30fps and not even native 4k. this time i decided to get a ps5 instead of an xbox but i regret it, because every game runs better on xbox.

Replaying this game a third time.
First was on ps4 pro
Then One X and now Series X.
This was one of the games that was able to show the power of the One X especially during the last console generation. You could count the games in native 4K on one hand. This also wasn’t a first party exclusive. Props to rockstar this game was absolutely phenomenal. Riding around with my horse is like a therapy. They needed a next gen update for rdr2 instead of gta v. What we would all love though is undead nightmare 2

If this game looks so great on ps4 and xbox one GTA VI, which will be built on from the ground up for next generation consoles will blow our minds.

Anything below 30 is horrible, 30fps should be the absolute minimum

RDR 2 on OneX is so smooth, so beautiful and beautiful, I don't know why but it massive huge great game experience on OneX. I can enjoy whole day in RDR 2 but can not do the same with Cyberpunk2077, 30 fps of Cyberpunk like to blow my eye. Cheer, XboxOneX!

The Xbox One X looks better because you’re playing it in native 4K while the PS4 pro is playing it in upscaled 4K. Only a few games can play native 4K on the PS4 pro while the Xbox One X has a good amount of games where you’re able to play in native 4K.
