Coal Miners in 'Trump Country' Feeling The Consequences

I feel bad saying it, but I honestly couldn't care less about these sick coal miners. We knew Trump was going to cut health programs, raise taxes on the middle class, shutter entire government agencies, and make life harder for the middle class by giving handouts to the uber rich. Trump made no secret of his plans and intentions. These folks with black lung had access to the same information we did.

They voted for and cheered on the man who was promising to make their lives, and the lives of millions of other Americans, demonstrably worse. No sympathy from me. If I could, I'd take their health insurance away and give it to a sick person who didn't vote to screw over the country.

I live in "coal country" (Eastern Kentucky). Very few coal trucks on the road these days. But a whole lot of hate, sadly. Coal will not be making a comeback here. I know things are going to get really bad. But these are the kind of people who have to learn things the hard way.

They lied and said federal workers didn't want to come to work . They are liars..The vast majority returned back to the office as requested over 2.5 years and were working their approved schedules. The approved schedules allowed federal workers to work from home two days a week and work in the office three days a week . The remaining were hired to work remotely because they didn't have an office or they worked from another state . Trump changed then requested that all employees were required to work in the office 5 days a week and their administration provided timelines when all employees had to return to working in the office 5 days a week. All employees met the timelines except those that weren't assigned to an office because they shut down buildings . They made federal workers return to the office to fire some of them. DOGE made the cuts without any knowledge about the work that was being done . RFK doesn't have a clue about what work is done at the agency oversees. Every Federal agency is grossly understaffed and they don't care

China builds the most advanced batteries and Trump is stuck in 1940 promising the poor uneducated W. Virginians that he is going to bring coal back. Poor guys how sadly naive they are.

Made Labor Unions illegal
Made "Black Lung" Lawsuits illegal
Closed the Government oversight Agency
Reduced or eliminated Health Benefits for "Pre-existing" conditions, (like Black Lung)

I actually had to pause this video to check the date, and make sure that it wasn’t 2018, because I swear that these people fell for the exact same okey-doke during Trump’s first presidency! He promised him then that coal was going to make a “comeback”, and that he would take care of the black lung widows. They fell for it then, and it never materialized. How in the HECK could they fall for the same lie a second time? Newsflash: Coal is NEVER going to make a full comeback!
