So Lewis says the Bible says God says this person caused suffering, and nobody thought to question that?
1. We have evidence of CS Lewis writing the things mentioned here.
2. We even have evidence the Bible said some stuff
3. But we don't have evidence of a god
4. And we don't have evidence of them saying anything
5. And we don't have evidence of some single person causing all your suffering (and you have a lot of evidence of very real things causing suffering, like other people, natural disasters, accidents, yourself, etc)

Well you get to decide if you value truth...
...but valuing truth means matching your beliefs to the evidence...
...so the lack of evidence of a god is why you shouldn't believe.
