This is some serious false advertising

There is no such thing as a Pro Audio amp of any kind for that price, it doesn't exist!

RCA inputs and banana plugs are a no no in pro audio. It keeps getting funnier. I hope no one fell for this thing.

This brand. I got no words. Or I would, but I'd had to write an essay (Oh, I just did..) just from the amp details on their page alone, not to mention their "story" on their Facebook page... It's like a fairy tale. How can something like that even exist? I mean, a brand that has nothing but nonsense and praise written all over their "info" and seems to have no clue about their products and then just offload the PR to some random firm that is specialized in hype.

From the manual:

Also in the manual, they really seem to want you to connect a DVD player straight on the amp. To their credit, they do also mention a mixer.

Been watching your videos for a while and just subscribed. I just purchased a couple of inexpensive pro amps. Rockville RPA12 to run my old Cerwin Vega 12" house speakers and the Rockville D14 for my two Dayton Audio Ultimax 15's. They sound really good but was curious about the actual wattage. I would love for you to test these out on you amp dynoand get you input on value.

Companies still do this because they know people will continue buying them. It really is just that simple.

Do you think one of the crown 1500 amplifiers would power 2 of the skar 18s that you recently reviewed in a live sound scenario? I would be feeding it with a mixer with proper filters. Just looking for a more bang for buck option than the very expensive options of pa subwoofers on the market.

T pro is crap and a waste of resources to build .

id love you you to try the behringer KM750 it uses ATR technology id like to see what difference it makes when the lows hit. im using it to drive a sub all low freq in a house 7.1 setup and it seems strong. i made the mistake of buying a similar rubbish at first some SPL 500 it weighed nothing aswell.😅

Hey do you think you will test the Rockville home audio amps? Or the Emotiva amps? I bought the Crown XLi 2500 and I am not impressed at all. I had high hopes for this amp so a huge let down nonetheless. Lol

On the topic of pro audio, I recently came across LASE amplifiers. They have a line of 1U size amps that go all the way up to 2X9000WRMS AT 2ohm. That’s hard to believe, would be very curious what it actually puts out. They are not overly cheap either.

I sold high-end audio equipment back in the '80s (Luxman, Tandberg, Kyocera, B&W, etc.) and I appreciate what you are doing VERY MUCH! These stupid "5 million watt" amps are a joke. I can't believe none of the FTC folks haven't fined these companies out of existence for the outright lies (far beyond misleading) they peddle. You are doing a great service by exposing these snake-oil salesman. Thank you!

Need to do a test on Rockville amps

Rockville RPM870 mixer amp is very popular. "500 x 2 RMS @ 8 ohms and 750 x 2 RMS @ 4 ohms." Sure does not sound like it in person. Have you ever tested this unit?

I agree with all that you point out. As an owner of a McIntosh, Nakamichi & Klipsch based main system (very old but VERY good) ...I surprised myself & I did buy one of their products ...it was very cheaply priced & I intended to only use it for headphones on my flight sim. It was rated at a ridiculous 1,000 watts!!! I would be happy if it put out 10% of that so I took a chance & ordered one. However, I ended up liking it & I use it for our (Kitchen) sound system ...replacing an old, but pretty good Sony amp. It is not of the quality one would consider for critical classical music listening or such. But at the low price I paid, ...it sounds good & does a lot, so ...I've no complaints.

I saw a crazy 10,000 watt into two ohms PA amp yesterday. Dual 20 amp 240 volt inputs and completely independent power amp modules.

Even a T amp e400 would mop the floor with this garbage.

It might put out 2000 watts during a lightning strike..

I have a Harman Kardon integrated amp from the late 60's that puts out more watts than this 'pro' amp. These are my favorite WAL videos, because pro amplifiers are all over the map and can be a decent substitute in a home system on a budget. Please do more of these pro amp tests. The marketing specs are never reliable.
