I am interested in the potential for ethical aspects of RL AI. In animals the pos/neg reinforcement, while both being effective at some level, are significantly different from an ethical perspective. Also positive reinforcement / clicker training allows the reward to be delivered after several linked steps. first the chicken pecks the colour dot, then turns around and picks up a loop before getting the reward. This is because of the foundations in dolphin training - the clicker has to stand in for the actual reward initially (as the trainer is not underwater).
