Can the MAP sensor cause an intermittent misfire and sometimes shuts off with no check engine light on when it happens. This only happens at idle and not every day 🤔
ОтветитьThank you for the knowledge that share especially for new mechanics like me god bless you
ОтветитьNice video thanks! my plug is reading 2 constant ground,(mass sensor) e250 2006' whats wrong?
Ответитьcan a bad map sensor cause a rich condition too?
Ответитьwhat about Matt.
ОтветитьNever mind mass airflow to fuel sensors. The end.
ОтветитьVery helpful videos.
Ответитьevery educational :) thanks for breaking it down barney style
ОтветитьI understand everything now, Thanks!
Ответитьcould you have a bad map without engine light ?
ОтветитьGreat, great video, thank you for taking the time and effort to make it.
ОтветитьMy Mitsubishi lancer station wagon still has rough idle or cuts off at Nuetral/Park even after I replaced 4 spark plugs and air filtet.Need some idea Bro...thanks
ОтветитьGreat info, thanks for your efforts. 👍
ОтветитьLove all your videos. Great work
ОтветитьWhat if it’s a 8 or 9 pin. Pajero io 2002 2 ltr
ОтветитьPut some tape over the exposed sections of paper clips and meter leads
Ответитьyou are a good mechanic u explain with the mechanism how it works also the volt resistance testing failure solution amazing
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI try this but when i hit pedal slowly the voltages reading is going down.
ОтветитьYou are so awesome thank you for this straight to the point instructional thank you
ОтветитьAnd if your car doesn't run!!??
ОтветитьThese test are assuming there is no problem with the car that could be causing the MAP sensor to read wrong or throw codes. How can i test the MAP
sensor outside of the car?
I love this. I must learn more. I have been fixing cars for 50 years, but always the older non-computerised cars. Now I have spent a thousand $ on incompetent garages using their computer diagnostics and believing the computer instead of using the very few brain cells the Lord God gave them. From now on I will watch and learn from you.
ОтветитьThanks you 🎉🎉
ОтветитьGreat video, be nice to see how it works on newer model cars. Can't pull on the acceleration the same way. 😅
Ответить😎
ОтветитьThanks for this very informative information. Great details !
ОтветитьThanks for share information
Ответитьok, nice can you make a air mass or tempture sensers etc of MERCEDES BENZ. C 220, 1996 , ELEGENC, PLEASE PREPARE A VIDEIO EXPLANATION, PLEASE,
ОтветитьThank you Master..
ОтветитьGreat video, very informative and easy to follow thanks!
ОтветитьWill map or maf produce a p0403 code?
Ответитьtested MAF sensor as described and found voltage did not go up or down with RPM. Got a new MAF sensor and same thing - no voltage change with RPM change. its on a a 2004 buick regla LS. what is the deal? seems like new MAF sensor is bad too or something wrong with test. Thanks for any help!
ОтветитьYou should test all connections for voltage and not just stop after you find the 5v. My Nissan had a 5v and a 12v.
If you accidentally touch the positive terminal of a 12V power source with the positive lead of your multimeter set to measure resistance, it could potentially cause damage to the multimeter.
Thank you for the video
ОтветитьBeen watching your vids for years. You know they're good when I come back and refer to them while on my projects
ОтветитьDang 2 Million DiY'ers was helped by this video. Congrats.
ОтветитьNice video! ❤
However, to check for air leak it's better to use a smoke machine to avoid hazard.
Its been 8 years... did you ever replaced the MAP sensor and retested with the multimeter to see that voltage go up as you accelerated? I couldnt find the video... Cheers!
Ответить8 YEARS AGO! You sir, are a shining light to people like myself! An old electro mechanical engineer... 2 million views? Fabulous teaching! Greetings from NZ
ОтветитьI love the topic. Must be a very good subject. I feel u know what u are talking about. The PROBLEM???: You are EATING YOUR WORDS!. Suggest that you take a good diction instructor. Looks like u can't open ur mouth when you speak.
ОтветитьU are good
ОтветитьExcellent video and demonstration!Do you have a video for checking vacuum leaks i have a 94 ford f150 5.0 XLT
ОтветитьI like this guys videos, be checking him out .
ОтветитьCan a car have MAF, MAP and IAT? Also can you use the same cleaner for all of them?
ОтветитьHi there, I need help.
How to find the map sensor in 1G-FE engine Toyota Mark II / or Lexus I S 300 from year 2002
can you show how to test MAP and MAS on Camry 2018 hybrid LE? and what the voltage and the reading should looks like
ОтветитьHi Mr. RNW, Mark here from pH, how are you doing.
I found this sensors, electrical wirings videos of your very helpful specially to me & other beginners in auto electrical.
Thank you!
I just want to ask 2 questions:
1) should the hot wire voltage depends in to car models ,
This first car +supply got ~5Volts (Toyota) then the Ford your cutted video got hot wire supply +12v volts.
Which is which , or its just really depends on car makers?
2) getting right ground wire thru continuity test, I notice your not removing or reminding that we should remove first the negative battery? Isnt it?
3) last 1 more, by getting the ground (-) wire can i just probe @ positive then get the other probe to the pins? In that way its other way around of getting the negative.,
Tho i like also the procedure of removing the negative post & probing to the pins, isnt it much safer?
