I can't find this setting in my 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid?

Luv this video. I like the lock security feature. Makes sense. I assume a person can still get iut by just opening the door handle correct?

I just bought a Yaris Design 2023. I’m trying to figure out if I can auto lock doors when I’m driving too.

When selecting ...........It's there also a door lock setting where as only the drivers door unlocks automatically. Personal decision as to yes or no on that option. Locked seems the better choice.

How do I do it manually? On an older Toyota, in the owner guide book it says to “Shift the shift lever to P or N, and press and hold the driver's door lock switch”

Let's say you have the doors stay locked when you put the car in Park. Then you get out and lock the doors, but when you come back to unlock the doors will the doors unlock as normal?

In my Toyota Corolla 2023 the doors do not lock automatically. Can this be corrected?

My LE was built 5/23/23 and has the latest standard radio with the menu button but doesn't bring me to where you say it should to change the door locks.

Toronto, On, Canada. Brian THANK YOU for putting out video's and keeping them simple. I will be getting my Rav4 Limited any day. Due to stolen suv's and car jackings this is a really VALUABLE tool. Toronto a vehicle is stolen 54 times a day due to this simple, 2 minute process, these thiefs can copy key and steal it! A fella in the news here, has had bandits trying 9 times to get his, it is still in his driveway. The Club, Trimax boots for tires as well as electronic anti theft he had put in.

It is crazy the lengths I'm researching to put layers of theft protection ie, pouch for fob and other electronics on the car and then cameras and necessities in the driveway. And that will be several thousand more out of my pocket! Sure I have insurance but
not sure if the drama of owning this vehicle is worth the money its costing on the whole.

I'm seriously considering a different car thats not on the top 10 most wanted list.

I have an older Lexus which doesnt have the screen . I never liked that feature I used tech stream to set it up so that when I unlock my doors it only unlocks the drivers door ( I am mostly alone) and also when I put my car into park only my drivers doors unlocks which I should change,normally you door will unlock when the door handle inside so no real point in having it auto unlock when I put the car in park lol

What year and model has the feature to change the auto door lock when shifting into Park and Reverse?

Not all new toyota has this lock/unlock from/to park option in tbe world . What you showed us is very helpful but i think it's only in North america. Did you know that every option added to a new Toyota for car dealers is an additional cost passed on to the customers. On my infotainment, the only option I have is to unlock all doors at once or only the passenger door when I press the unlock button on my remote control.

2018 Camry LE - (no back up 'radar' on rear bumper; no shark fin on roof )
1 - car is locked, on remote press unlock button once (or twice) and wait 30 sec., car locks itself.
2 - car is unlocked (either just driver's door or all doors) press unlock button once (or twice) wait 30 sec. car locks itself.
However, unlocking the driver's door with key in keyhole and then walking away, car does - not - lock itself.

My '90 LS 400, (and '91 & '92 LS of a relative,) using the remote, had the same feature, it would lock itself after a few sec. and the same if the key was used in the key hole.

You normally put it in P when ready to leave the vehicle anyway.

What’s the big deal? If you don’t intend to leave the vehicle - just lock it manually. Most of the time it’s useful

I made this change in my ‘18 Tundra a couple of years ago. It’s a really good idea.

My 2005 Camry locks when I turn on the ignition and stays locked until I unlocked the doors manually. No infotainment system is necessary. That’s really smart without the additional cost and waste of time.

I wished Toyotas have a “walk away auto lock” feature like Hondas do. Do you know if it’s on certain models?
