Thanks for sharing your fantastic books. While you were flipping through them, I just wanted to get up and go into my art space and play. You made me laugh when you said you’ll sew anything that’s not a shirt. I sew on my cards and have made a couple quilts, but that’s about it. I’m MUCH older than you and recognize those valentines. They would come in a box and we would sign our name on the back pass them out in class (the teacher set up boxes or bags for each student). An artist friend of mine gave me a thick book of stickers of vintage images that was given to her but not her thing and I love it. A big ol’ hug for you! 🤗

I remember those valentines and wish I had half the stuff of my grandmother's sewing room that my uncle threw away. I hope someone was dumpster digging all those years ago. Thanks Denise.

I really enjoy going through all my art books when my mojo is down. Just got back from a month long holiday in Europe and it’s hard getting back to creating. At the moment I’m inspired by collages since I purchased the Rex Ray book. Every page is a masterpiece, the colours and shapes are amazing. This is the book I look at while enjoying my morning coffee. Maybe something you might want to consider in your next « master study » which I enjoy so much on Skillshare 😊 Have a great weekend!

I found those gorgeous big buttons at the Hobby Lobby and bought 2of each colour lol.

You should've asked for a referral code for this...because I guarantee you they are getting sales for this LOL. I just bought the set of three art/artisian themed books.

There are 'creative re-use' stores that have tons of vintage patterns and some of the stores just give them away,

I just pre ordered GLUE and FEEDSACKS. I almost have the entire collection. These are so beautiful. I also get the magazines.

Hello, Denise!!! Well… I’m not sure whether to thank you (because I had never heard of these books and I fell instantly in love with them!) or…no… I don’t want to cuss you out… I loved these books so much that I threw caution to the wind and without too much deliberation purchased 5 of them as well as the 4 magazines from 2024… I’m in NYS, USA so not far from Toronto, Ontario CA where most of them will ship from and the freight was more than reasonable. I normally overthink purchases anymore because I want it all but I was confident I will enjoy what I bought although maybe not the best decision to spend $265 without first actually holding one and flipping through it. I think there are purchases that you just know are going to make your heart sing and you don’t need to labor over the decisions… Marta’s collage books are one of those things for me… and when I heard PanPastel had 53 new colors, I did not hesitate, did not pass go… I just went for it! LOL =)

PS… in case you’re curious about the 5 books I chose: Art Supplies & Vintage Life from amazon…. Needle & Thread Bundle from Uppercase which includes Notions; Yarn, Thread, & String; and Stitch & Illo…. The magazines at $10 each was a no-brained although I would have paid full price for the multi-color one….

Hi Denise! I have only recently found you but I’m obsessed … hahaha! I’m a quilt designer and a Junk Journaler. I’ve always been drawn to color and since finding you I’ve started doing abstracts with watercolor and acrylics. I love the swatching/painting you’re doing in the Dina Wakley journal. And, in one of your videos, you said keep checking for them to be in stock because I have yet to be able to purchase one. Thanks for the encouragement! I hope they’re making more.
