My opinion as a former football player, coach, Secretary of GFA's Youth Development please please stop spending lakhs and lakhs on foreign coach salaries.

Spend the same on
GRASSROOT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT and retaining present U19, U21 players and giving them Asian exposure is the only solution.

We have enough Indian Coaches.

Also getting OCI players will solve Indian team problems?

Will they give 100% compared to our Indian players.

Started watching indian football because of chhangte but now i am never going to support these team mark my word ,cricket got support after 1983 wc win something u bunch of 11 idiots

I stopped watching us for one year now. The last i watched a game was live in Bangalore against pakistan. Same goes for ISL as well. We suck at football sadly. Politics is ruining the sport. AIFF is just a political institution that just wants to ruin us. Idgaf anymore.

Do not jump the gun. All of you guys overlook the most important thing in Football. The underage groups. Every progressive footballing nation has a good underage program. Here in India we had the arrows project until the under 17 world cup. Then what happened. There is no such program right now. When India starts to pump in 80 percent of the budget in youth development programs only then you will have supply line. Right now what India is undergoing is low morale. Even now If coaches like Constantine or Stimac takes control of the team they can inch back to the 100 ranking. That would still mean nothing. We need strong youth development programs. India needs a football budget of atleast 1000 cr p.a to get to the top asian spots. BCCI is making tons of money, they can be taxed to fund other sports in India for a limited period of time, if funds are an issue.
