ОтветитьIt is very anacurate. Used Polar many years and stopped for this reason. Choose another brand. Will not tell you whar because of don´t want to to make ad.

ОтветитьGood video but the feedback from me, having previously been an athlete for 15 years and spending many hours being tested as a lab rat, I would confidently say the heart rate is over reading. At threshold HR, you can’t talk. Karting can be physical but the high HR looks like a classic vibration ping. Out side of that you can also only accurately measure calories burned by measuring power.
I would expect the calories burned to be closer to 500 kcal in the Kart and on a sim not much different to walking around the house and doing some house work 200 Kcal.
The other thing to consider is the smaller and lighter you are the less you burn. Big heavy people generally burn more Kcal to stay alive.

ОтветитьIt's always funny to see those weight loss claims in F1 as if it's something unique. This is applicable in any situation where you're sweating and not hydrating fast enough. When I go for a 12 mile run, I will come back 5lbs lighter. It's just water weight. It's not a big deal (of course, proper hydration is key).
And those calorie trackers are so terribly off. In no way do you burn, even a small fraction of those calories, sitting down in a kart. Doing a very-easy walk for 30 minutes burns more calories than 3 hours of karting.
Hey dude, I'm new at karting, is there other way to measure this data only with the smartphone and a galaxy watch? Or the only way is with Polar?

ОтветитьSomeone with a healthy heart would burn less calories than a fat whale trying to get off the couch with 200 bpm. It's a rough estimate but quite reliable to get an indication. Healthy heart would have to pump less frequently in order to deliver the same amount with an unhealthy heart.

ОтветитьYour BPM is higher than average because your monitor is confused whether the bumps in the road are also heartbeats. It's detecting extra vibrations that are not heartbeats. This means you don't burn as much as you think.

ОтветитьYour heart rate wasn’t 170-200. You wore a watch to monitor your heart rate. All the shaking in the steering wheel causes artifact and reads it at a higher rate. 😂😂😂 the 120s at the beginning of the race was accurate to you being nervous as it settled down to 100 right before the race (normal resting heart rate is 60-100. you were chillen for a good while before peeling out but still feeling a little rush). Then you hit the track and your watch spiked. You probably were at 120-130 but no higher during the race. At 150-160 you would’ve had heart palpitations. And sustained fora long time you would’ve passed out and crashed. ICU nurse here 😅

ОтветитьBrother im not certain your heart rate should be this high. I went rental karting last night and never got above 140bpm and we were on 65mph Karts
ОтветитьI race rental karts and this behavior seems typical of open sessions which always have a few inexperienced drivers in them. Member only / club races are much less chaotic tho.

ОтветитьLmao my dude. Your heart rate is not that high, I can guarantee you, you didn't sustain 40 minutes of 180 beats. You'd be dead and you didn't burn 1400 calories. This is probably the least accurate video I've ever seen on this basically ever.

ОтветитьHey Cameron, do you have a trainer or do you workout in the gym? Because you heart rate is kinda high in a gokart that is on hard tires and not very heavy on the body. Im driving shifters karts (KZ2) on soft tires and my max heart rate is lower then your average. Even after 23 min of driving. So help yourself and get som gym time to have beter stamina!
