He was awesome! Memories
ОтветитьI didn't notice it 40 years ago but in hindsight he looks careless with the ball, holds it loose in traffic. Going to look up his fumble stats.
ОтветитьNot 100% sure if the play was in there, sometimes I miss them but there is one long Wendall Tyler Run where he slowed down a bit way down field on a big game so Kent Hill (Guard) could spring past him to make a block. One of the best hustle blocks I ever saw down field on a run, and that was after Hill had blocked his own guy on the line. He wasn't pulling and running down field, he was going for extra credit with a block down field on a DB so Tyler could take it in (I Actually do not remember if he scored to be honest, its been 40 years since I saw the play)
ОтветитьHated him as a Ram, loved him as a 9er. In the super bowl against Miami he averaged 5 yd per carry and his blocking was outstanding.
ОтветитьHe was great at UCLA too. Fumbled a lot but his explosiveness made up for it.
ОтветитьGreat to see this. As a Ram fan I loved him. But when ED comes along …???
ОтветитьRemember the NFL Today, when Brent Musburger gave him a football, with a handle on it! But I never saw him fumble, in San Francisco. Got some Bill Walsh Supe, as a result....!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite running backs of all time
ОтветитьDickerson replaced Tyler
ОтветитьTo many Niner highlights.
ОтветитьGreat video, he replaced Lawrence McCutcheon.
Ответитьthis guy came to my school today
ОтветитьI actually met him in my school it was awesome at first I didn't know who he was but when I found out I was shocked im very glad I didn't miss that day lol
ОтветитьLoved those Rams uniforms
ОтветитьHe came to my school yesterday
ОтветитьLoved watching him back in the day with the Rams. He was great.
ОтветитьBack when UCLA produced alot of pro player's
ОтветитьThat wild running style was nice in it's day
ОтветитьHis 50 yd run vs steelers in SB14 should have made this highlight video. Great instinctual runner. Stupid to trade him to SF.
ОтветитьI went to school with Wendell. I saw him get his collar bone broken in one of our practices.
ОтветитьI always liked that guy wendell tyler
ОтветитьVin Scully on the football call
ОтветитьI like that he celebrated most of his tds with a sign of the cross. 🙏.
My first favorite player. We had ucla tickets when I was a kid.
What a steal for the 49ers. Tyler rushed for a career high 1,200 regular season yards in 1984 and won Super Bowl XIX with the 49ers.
ОтветитьCrazy trading Tyler to them
