Hopefully cellular reprogramming lives up to the potential it seems to have. This would be huge.
ОтветитьI wish there were more people working on this. Lifespan extension is so underrated.
ОтветитьI can’t wait to see where this technology is going
Ответитьexciting updates!
ОтветитьBrilliantly presented
ОтветитьKeep up the good work. I haven't wanted to get older for nearly a decade.
ОтветитьVery interesting. I seem to remember that David Sinclair has already done a test with partial Y factor reprogramming in mice and came to more or less the same conclusion, that it would be a better idea to reprogram 2 or 3 instead of all 4 at once. So, is this research expanding on his research, or is it doing something in a different way?
The part at the end about using other reprogramming mechanisms is truly fascinating. For all we know there might be hundreds of different mechanisms to rejuvenate cells right under noses. In the future there may be all sorts of reprogramming methods competing against one another over which mechanisms yields the best results, same way that diets do nowadays.
Keep up the good work. So happy there are people working on this :)
read this paper a while ago, glad to have it presented to refresh my memory, latent representation is truly amazing
ОтветитьWhile there's no way to know for sure what their end goals are, this definitely makes me have a lot more faith in Calico. I still wish they weren't so secretive though.
ОтветитьThere is something i dont get: Preventing diseases is something we are doing since the beginning of medicine and we can all agree that this is something good. Every person should be in good health. Being healthy is the equivalent to the absence of disease. So if we cure all diseases a person will not die, because a healthy body does not die.
Isnt this obvious? Or do i have some kind of mistake in my reasoning? With the curing of aging we are preventing A LOT of diseases. Why is this such a heated topic when scientists are doing the same things just from a different angle.
Hope this lives up to the hype. Countless lives depend on it.
Ответитьso people taking mesenchymal stem cell therapy are still at risk of getting cancer? Are Exosomes safer? A lot of people take MSC exosomes quite frequnetly.
ОтветитьGreat presentation of fantastic research!
ОтветитьIt's good to finally hear something from Calico after a while. I do wish though they were more open about things though that's just me. This does give off hope though for the company and shows they are at least honest with what they aim to do. Where things will go from here is uncertain but I'm excited to see the results.
ОтветитьIs cellular reprogramming the future?
