thanks linus great tips even 2 years down the line. after the great scamdemic
Ответитьso is there any point in upgrading from an i7 8700k? if the gain is 20+ more fps then i would but how much more do you get
ОтветитьHi my friend, need ur advice. I ve a Z370 tuf gaming with a rtx 2080, 32 gb ram at 3600mhz and a I5 8600k. I usually play at 1440p. I ve the possibilities to upgrade with a i9 9900K, around with 300 euro, I ll sell my 8600k. Do u think it s a good upgrade? thx a lot. regards from italy.
ОтветитьI screwed myself buying this thing 2 years ago.... Now I'm looking to replace it with a CPU thats barely any better, but I still have to buy a new Mobo lol.
I need to get better at my research.
In my country this chip is very expensive here so it's good.
ОтветитьI bought this chip after watching your review on it and it worked great for the most part till this week. Now I’m having issues with it thermal throttling and hitting 100C at idle. Have a AIO water cooler and have tried many things but alas I’m not the smartest with computers and need help. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьGnxxx
ОтветитьI really want this CPU, the is the best my board can take.
Ответитьwell, my pc is linus' nightmare! RTX 2060, and i9-9900k
ОтветитьSo I'm rocking a ASRock b365 phantom gaming 4, an AMD Ryzen 5700xt, and an Intel i5-9400f. I've been trying to get into streaming but my CPU is always at 100% and my streams drop frames constantly. After watching this review I'm now unsure if I should eat the cash and get the 9900k or save it and get the 9700k? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
ОтветитьShould I pick one out in 2022 for 200usd(almost new)? .my current cpu and gpu are an i5 6500 and a gtx 1070
Ответитьidc i'm still buying it lol
Ответитьi think ill stick with the i7 in my opinion, i just brought me an RTX 3080p gaming laptop that works pretty well with i7 core, so im satisfied 😎👍
Ответитьis this still good in 2022? or should i upgrade?
ОтветитьThese videos should also consider second hand market where prices can be lower.
ОтветитьIt's amazing. I've been using the 9700k since 2019 and it's still faster than I'll ever need. It's September 2022. That being said, Intel really needs to rethink their pricing.
ОтветитьWatching this in 2022 is comical.
ОтветитьJust got this CPU + motherboard and 2x8 3600mhz ram. for 500 Danish kroner 👍
Ответить9900K is STILL a beast
ОтветитьI have my 9900k for 3 years know, running at solid 5.2 Ghz with an AIO and ohh boy, its going strong until today and i really think that i will be good for another 2 years atleast in 1440p 💪🏻
Ответить8th gen Core i3s don't have HT, they 4c4t for 8th gen
Ответитьwhy is the 9700k more expensive now rather than 4 years ago?
ОтветитьMy i7 9700k holds so fucking solid in 2022 games and I expect it will going forward too
ОтветитьCan you fit a I9 9900k in a Dell/HP office pc that originally had a I3 6100? The socket is 1151, but does it make sense?
ОтветитьThis is actually my current chip. Got it on sale in 2020, still holding quite strong today.
ОтветитьI have had the i7 9700K for years now, and it hasn't disappointed me in any way.
Last week I was offered a swap-out for the i9 9900K, and with the minimum amount of performance difference between the CPUs,I still chose to push through with it. And I'm happy I did.
So crazy I just buy a gaming pc with a i9 9900ks for $100 I hope that’s a good deal
ОтветитьIt's crazy to me how i feel about this CPU. I think the 9900k was ahead of its time, for reasons i cant explain. Its still a beast.
Ответитьi bought the KF Version for just 200€
ОтветитьIt seems I'm 4 years late... XD
ОтветитьWhat is the best gpu i csn use with this cpu and what psu would i need?
Ответитьlol
ОтветитьThis review doesn't seem so great in retrospect lol. The 9900K aged surprisingly well by all accounts I've heard, and my own experience.
ОтветитьJust bought a RTX 4090. I currently have a i5-9600k 3.70Ghz. Was looking to upgrade my CPU. Is the CPU in this video a good CPU to pair with the 4090?
ОтветитьWould this chip the 9700k or 9700t work in a Lenovo m710q ?
ОтветитьCould you do me a favour and bench test and review the Intel Core I9 13900T--- You can buy it off Ali-Express £233.00 is it worth it?
ОтветитьWhat do you think now, regarding this CPU? I want to upgrade my i7 8700K
Ответитьyou lied to me no cappa you said 2 years ago it was an insane cpu within 2 years 4 gens came out linus EQUALS sell out to intel
Ответитьlol
ОтветитьWhy is the timestamps messed up
ОтветитьFinally got to a point in life where I could get an i9, and of course, its raptor lake. Watching this and reminiscing about the good times.
ОтветитьThe year is 2024, and Intel stock has plummeted as it comes to light that Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs have an oxidization flaw and a microcode flaw that has caused both physical damage and many hours of troubleshooting.
Intel kept this a secret for a year.
Intel just fires 15,000 employees 15% of their employee base.
Redditor becomes famous for saying that he dumped $700,000 worth of inheritance money into Intel stock 2 days ago.
When the market's open tomorrow morning I know Intel is going down even more.
Today I am looking everywhere for these processors 9th generation Intel is the last good generation of Intel.
This all happened days after it was announced Intel signed 14 billion contract with the US military.
I have a i3 9gen for 4 years now and used to have a 1050ti but uphraded to a 1080 1 year ago and i am happy with the setup
Ответитьi still cant believe i got it for 250 bucks 1 year after launch
ОтветитьAnd now I have a Ryzen 7 7840HS 8C/16T 5.1GHz which is way more powerful CPU both in single core and multi core while also running inside a really small PC(it's a mini PC), in 5 years CPUs improved a lot and it's a laptop CPU from 2023 not even a desktop CPU.
Ответить6 years later, i have core i9 9900k paired with RTX 4070...and my god it still powerful and make my GPU go 98% util use
ОтветитьSince our thermal and power consumption numbers are very different from other publications, here's some clarification on our board settings:
-Multi-core enhancement: Disabled
-SVID behavior: "Intel Fail-Safe" / Intel's default
-XMP: Enabled
-All power duration and limit settings default
-Core multiplier at defaults
-Core voltages at defaults
Cooler: Corsair H115i w/IC Graphite thermal pads
The performance numbers we got were double-checked against Intel's engineers, and they were in line; This suggests that our thermal tests are indicative of stock performance (with motherboard vendor optimizations disabled). We did not ask Intel about their thermal or power consumption results.
