I screwed myself buying this thing 2 years ago.... Now I'm looking to replace it with a CPU thats barely any better, but I still have to buy a new Mobo lol.

I bought this chip after watching your review on it and it worked great for the most part till this week. Now I’m having issues with it thermal throttling and hitting 100C at idle. Have a AIO water cooler and have tried many things but alas I’m not the smartest with computers and need help. Any suggestions?

well, my pc is linus' nightmare! RTX 2060, and i9-9900k

So I'm rocking a ASRock b365 phantom gaming 4, an AMD Ryzen 5700xt, and an Intel i5-9400f. I've been trying to get into streaming but my CPU is always at 100% and my streams drop frames constantly. After watching this review I'm now unsure if I should eat the cash and get the 9900k or save it and get the 9700k? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Should I pick one out in 2022 for 200usd(almost new)? .my current cpu and gpu are an i5 6500 and a gtx 1070

It's amazing. I've been using the 9700k since 2019 and it's still faster than I'll ever need. It's September 2022. That being said, Intel really needs to rethink their pricing.

9900K is STILL a beast

I have my 9900k for 3 years know, running at solid 5.2 Ghz with an AIO and ohh boy, its going strong until today and i really think that i will be good for another 2 years atleast in 1440p 💪🏻

8th gen Core i3s don't have HT, they 4c4t for 8th gen

Can you fit a I9 9900k in a Dell/HP office pc that originally had a I3 6100? The socket is 1151, but does it make sense?

This is actually my current chip. Got it on sale in 2020, still holding quite strong today.

I have had the i7 9700K for years now, and it hasn't disappointed me in any way.
Last week I was offered a swap-out for the i9 9900K, and with the minimum amount of performance difference between the CPUs,I still chose to push through with it. And I'm happy I did.

So crazy I just buy a gaming pc with a i9 9900ks for $100 I hope that’s a good deal

It's crazy to me how i feel about this CPU. I think the 9900k was ahead of its time, for reasons i cant explain. Its still a beast.

I have a i3 9gen for 4 years now and used to have a 1050ti but uphraded to a 1080 1 year ago and i am happy with the setup

i still cant believe i got it for 250 bucks 1 year after launch

And now I have a Ryzen 7 7840HS 8C/16T 5.1GHz which is way more powerful CPU both in single core and multi core while also running inside a really small PC(it's a mini PC), in 5 years CPUs improved a lot and it's a laptop CPU from 2023 not even a desktop CPU.

6 years later, i have core i9 9900k paired with RTX 4070...and my god it still powerful and make my GPU go 98% util use
