I started this show about a week ago figuring "Alright it's super talked about I might as well just watch the first episode to see what it's about then I'm done"

Next day I watched episode 2 because I didn't have anything else to do and so on

It wasn't until episode four that I was straight up binging, all I did for hours and hours was watch game of thrones. Right now I'm at the start of season 5
Super excited but also scared for that last season that draws closer

Love how everyone, even if they hate the show, compliments the music by Ramin Djawadi. He really did an excellent job with the scoring throughout the series. Look forward to hearing the themes he’s done for House of the Dragon

I found the names easy just because I’d already heard of everybody before even watching due to its high popularity I knew Cersei, Ned Stark etc just cos of how massive it was on social media

I just got done with season 1.. I'm loving it even though they killed my favorite character and I want that little fake king to die so bad! Lol. My big complaint is all the non needed vulgar speech and almost pornographic scenes in every single episode!!! When I was a kid they could never play this on TV. And I'm sorry but as a dude we really don't want to be watching all these naked men walking around butt naked. Too Much! Plus I'm sure parents out there would love to watch this as a family with kids..but someone definitely dropped the ball. Too much sex in my opinion

Season 1 was the greatest. Don't need the great battle or fighting scenes. Would work on Broadway.

to me, season 1 is the best season of all. Having a "realtively" small budget compared to the later seasons, meant they really had to get that entertaintment and impact through dialogue, and I iamgine it made the show runners actually have to think about what is being said, and why, and where, and who's listening, and who could use that information, and who needs that information, and who can benifit from that information etc etc. As opposed to when the showrunners get a big budget and, from their words not mine "wanted to make the show for non-fantasy fans" and just sidelined massively interesting things for "generic action scene" or "generic action scene, but with dragons" or "generic action scene, but with boats" etc etc. BUT, i completely understand a "new watcher" not liking season 1 at all. I love it, because i now all the characters, their names, their families, their homes, their house motto's their histories etc. As a new viewer it must seem like seriously jumping into the deep end, actualy scrap that, its like jumping straight into the ocean. I mean, they have plenty of those "don't you know who that is? thats...(insert detail description and basic history of them)" to get people into the story nicely through using a character act as the audience, so they can explain things, that would normally just "be explained" in a book. But for new fans its still very confusing. Actually thinking about it, its very hard to convey what people are thinking in a tv show (apart from Peep Show, that literally nails that problem and turns it into a full blown feature of the show) as opposed to a book where you can just write "ned thought to himself......blah blah blah" you can't translate that to screen well, without using a "audience" character that acts as a character that dosent know anything, so other characters can explain things to them, when in reailty they're just a more visually pleasing way of directly talking to the camera about information.

i would have given it a 90 percent, because of the plot wich is one of the best in the series

It's sad that this show ended after season 4. I wish the show would have had like, 8 seasons. Still the best show on TV.

I started GoT when it had 2 seasons released and remember i forced myself to watch it because everyone else did, not because i loved it. But years later when i got back at it again, i realized how good actually it was from episode 1. I just can't explain the difference

Really you just need to watch the last two episodes of each season and read a summary of the rest and you’re good. cause that’s what I did. It’s kinda overrated tbh. Very melodramatic
