The videos are extremely heavy. The Kbps increases like x20. A 2gb video ends up weighing 21gb. Is there a way that the video does not weigh so much?

Thanks for putting this together!
I had some problem but it worked after I've put the files on the same folder as the folder of the program.
Results didn't work very well for me since the person had glasses and the glasses frames crossed over his eyes confusing the algorithm for a split second. Also the algorithm overshoot and the person now is looking slightly away from camera but to the other direction. Hopefully if I ever need again I will have better results.

I've been using this for a bit works great. Couple of tips for anyone trying it out.

The program is looking for a .mp4 video file. Mine are mostly .mov (shot from iphone). So I have to put * . * in the search bar (or you could put *.mov I guess). This will make the .mov files show up. The edit process seems to work the same on a .mov file. You could use handbrake to convert the .mov to a .mp4, but it will add steps to the process.

The edited output file doesn't keep the audio. So I usually add the original file to the timeline which brings in the audio. For me, I use track 1 in Resolve. Then I bring the "regazed" video file into Resolve on video track 2. So it will show the regazed video, but play the audio from the original. Then I just edit them all together when I'm trimming or cutting.

This is simple and amazing!
I don't know how you circumvent the "720p" only option, that is available in Nvidia Broadcast.
My results look really good in full 1080p!

Really good! The only problem I see is that it ignores blinks. Imagine watching a video where someone speaks for 5 minutes without blinking once! :D

I've been using your tool for the past couple of months with no problems. But today, both videos I tried ended the process after a few seconds with the "Success" dialog, but the output file was 0kb.

The regaze worked, but it decreased the video quality so much and there was no audio.

Hey there, thanks for doing all of this - I followed your original video a few months back and was happy enough with that solution, but when I dove back into the project to do some more work on it today I was pleasantly surprised to find this update!

One quick question - I'm curious if you (or anyone else) has found that certain colour/exposure settings work best for the original file?

For example, I have a long interview shot in a flat (LOG) colour profile - I've been playing with combinations of contrast, sharpness, exposure, etc. before feeding it into "Regaze", but with mixed results.

I've generally found that a little sharpening helps, and minimizes artifacts (without it, every once in a while an eyeball will appear on top of a closed eyelid).

But no matter that I do, there's a 10-second section where it almost doesn't redirect her gaze at all. Any suggestions on how to manipulate the footage to help the software find her eyes better?!

For people getting errors:
1. Click browse and open the video on the app
2. Click save and find a folder you want to save the video to (e.g., desktop) and then make sure to give the the video a name before clicking save.
You're getting errors because you've used the save function to try to open the video again.
