How to generate leads through LinkedIn

I am struggling to see your method to generate warm up new leads. The conclusion of the first part of the video is that you can effectively generate a list of leads, but they are nothing more than you could get from a list vendor. The second part of the video is about communicating with your current connections.

I have a Premium account and all I get when I click the "advanced" link is a page that says "Advanced People Search" and the options aren't the same at all. Has LinkedIn changed this or eliminated this in recent months?
