If used as live bait it's suppose to be from the same water you plan on using it in. As cutbait you can take it anywhere. (Nebraska)

Yep, I launch and spend about 10 minutes catching a dozen bluegill then head out to my spot and catch me some big bass

i no in some of the lakes here in wv you cant use game fish like that as live bait maybe as cut bait and some lakes here will let you use them live but you can't use a cast net to catch them you can only use them in some lakes as live bait if you catch them on a rod
