First or whatever (further remarks incoming via edits)
1) Wrecks are looking good but I'm still skeptical of the conceptual "stranded pilot" idea, until they give us a reason to believe disabled ships won't disintegrate when they slam into the ground unpowered.
2) Anyone saying players carving dicks into wrecks would hurt their immersion hasn't been exposed to a lot of graffiti.
It is so true. Every time Montreal shows us something they smash it out of the park.... Still waiting for the Daymar Javelin settlement.
ОтветитьMontreal team is just out of control -- in the most awesome way!
ОтветитьSimple fix for a2's, put up antiair defense that shoots down any bombs dropped on cities.
ОтветитьI want to find a crashed ship on planet, buy the components to fix it, tractor it to a hanger and register it to myself. Please
ОтветитьSpeaking of entire houses being built.... That's something I loved about RDR2. You could see them putting up the frome of a house and come back and see the roof going up or the walls in place and eventually the house would be done while you've been playing.
ОтветитьNot much to add, but here's a comment to beat the alllll-gore-ithmses.
ОтветитьI've only been playing since 3.14 but each patch has been a different game, in the direction of the final product. I'm very happy to have been playing for that.
ОтветитьI'd love to see a capital ship wreck, like an Idris, Bengal or Kraken that has crashed mostly intact but has been repurposed as a pirate base for launching attacks with the hangars working. Missions to take a base like that out would be incredible. Maybe even crashed on a large asteroid or airless moon.
ОтветитьIn regards to the derelicts evolving and being generated I would be interested to see how they can do that with PES. In my understanding, with PES, once people aren't around these settlements or derelicts or wrecks they basically just exist as an inert code in a database on another server until someone comes around and forces the simulation server to go pick that out and put it back in the world. So the servers won't actually be processing anything about these sites. It isn't a question of 'if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to see it does it make a sound' but rather 'if no one is around to see it there is no forest'.
ОтветитьI love the idea of the outpost overlays. Imagine with base building not only being able to choose different overlays but also locking overlays behind different reputation requirments. You can make your base look like a 9 tails hideout but only if your friends with 9 tails. Or you can add mining/refining equipment but only if you build your rep with Shubin Intersteller. Lots of possibilitys and gameplay implactions are possible if it works as well as they claim it will.
ОтветитьI think it would be great to have everyone go to the store to get "the latest" mobiglas when it is ready. : )
Control a mine, or a racetrack?!!
Great show! I'm really looking forward to based building as I see it being a source for some great emergent gameplay, especially if we're able to hire NPCs to perform tasks while the player are logged out.
ОтветитьI’m here, working, with 6 hours left and I only have a 1 hour video left T.T
ОтветитьIMO CIG could make the squatters derelicts that are used be permanent, but if they are not a mission location, they would be salvageable or decentragate/disappear over a time period of unuse. Then have a different one spawn in a separate location (same planet/area) to be discovered and the cycle would start over. It will be awesome to have some headcrabs or other fauna, jump out when first discovering them.
ОтветитьReally appreciate the widening of people you are bringing to the channel and the different ways of thinking each new person provides. Plus I think it's cool to be introduced to some of these newer content creators
ОтветитьSounds very similar to the way Star Wars Galaxies handled base building in fact allot of this game feels like a spiritual successor to SWG. It even had personal ship interiors you could walk around in.
ОтветитьAll player bases, homesteads and claim beacons will get wiped multiple times before the game is released.
I will mess around with them when they come in, but I will build myself a complex base, in my favourite location, AFTER the game has launched and the base will NOT be wiped.
I expect that to be at least 5 years away.
CIG Montreal, which mostly works on Modular Locations so far, is full of talented and experienced folks, yeah — Thanks, Ubisoft 😛— but they're largely empowered by groundwork established elsewhere in CIG. CIG Montreal is the most obvious change, but CIG as a whole has transformed. Sometimes seems like there's this misconception that ONLY Montreal is competent. :T
But yeah, I think 4.0 is when we'll be able to see that Montreal has indeed been very busy on that end of the jump.
Heards of animals and hunting and meat delivery
ОтветитьI love the idea of having anti-air and ground protection for my settlement and then being able to salvage / loot any vehicles and personnel that try and attack me. Even having my NPCs actually do the defence and then the looting (maybe with a future ground salvaging vehicle). This could offset the costs of providing defenses for your bases/settlements. Also, I suspect we will have NPC attackers as well at random times (like currently having our ships blown up outside caves by NPC craft) so attacks will be a certainty we have to prepare for.
