My son insists we cook this every time we go away. We use chipolatas as the cook quicker and a tin of kidney beans in chilli sauce for an extra punch.

Where I’m from we call this beans and franks or beanie weenie......they actually sell it at the store under those names pre made in a can or tin as you say......but I bet your version is much more delicious 😋

We do this but minus the chopped tomatoes and extra beans and plus bbq sauce, sweetcorn and any veg we have on hand. Cook a bit of rice with it! Great with cheese on too. Really good for using up any leftovers! All you need are a couple of sausages and a tin of baked beans to feed two people!

Having tried this several times, I now add 1 or 2 oxo cubes, depending on how much you make, gives an extra savory taste

My kids are going to love this.

We were served this at school twice a week and remains today as my most favourite meal ever.
I recall two delicious differences from the school recipe to yours and I would recommend both, firstly we had smaller sausages wrapped in bacon (pigs in blankets) and secondly chopped liver was also added.
