Lovely to see the progress 💜 but instead of using plastic inside your beds which unfortunately leeches not such nice chemicals into the soil.. you can burn/scorch the wood instead which would keep the wood good for many years without the toxins 💜

Your garden is looking beautiful. However, that doesn't seem like a good place for the lemon trees in the long term. Keep in mind that as they grow, the treetops will take up more and more space, and even if you prune them, they'll be in the way of the entrance gate to the garden. To keep them from getting in the way, you'll have to trim the treetops too radically, and I don't think you want that. My advice is that now that they're young, you move them to a place where they can grow their tops without anything around them (ideally not right next to a wall).💖💖

We have the same greenhouse here in Aus and our 'roof' was ruined by the parrots dropping gum nuts and breaking the brittle plastic. As the frame was still good - hubby put corrugated Perspex on for a new and stronger roof.

Your veggie garden is going to be beautiful, especially when those Bouganvilles's grow over the arch. While we are talking about plants, may we please have an update on the Wisteria? I told John he cut back too much, and he said, "Let's wait for spring and see." I want to see, please.😂😂😂😂

Watching other people doing their raised beds they always put cardboard down first to suppress any grass or weeds growing through. Are you not worried about that? Love seeing the boys so excited and engaged in what you are doing xx

Perhaps it is wise to make the corners of the raised beds more round so if you or the boys run by you hurt yourself less. Greetings. 🤗

I had a bigunbilia - a plant
with flowers in many colors, but be careful!!! It has very long and sharp
thorns and it grows to a huge size!!!.
Another thing, the lemon trees are too close to the wooden pergola.

Garden is looking lovely, your poor lemon tree at the front of your arch doesn’t look very well. That plastic they use in the greenhouse is rubbish isn’t it. The stone wall looks wonderful and I love the idea of having more of that stone inside the house, it’s going to look beautiful x

Looks super handy! The account of apple acres homestead also has such raised beds. Sheepdogs and sheeps😅 I live with 2 Shetland sheepdogs. I know the challenges 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Even your raised beds, John, are a masterpiece!! The trim work is beautiful! I have found with my beds, not to make them wider than 3-4 ft because it creates difficulty reaching the middle. The thinner beds are much easier to weed and harvest. ❤

Absolutely love your plans for the garden. Bougainvillea is one of my favourites. Always enjoy seeing them when I go across to Spain and Greece. I also do no dig and get good crops each year. Can't wait to see how your garden progresses xx

John it will feel like a blink of your eye and Crusoe will be building things for you and then you blink again and Sawyer will be the one building on his own. Oh I must get a book as I remember getting emotional watching the move of the olive tree and want to share that story with much loved grandchildren. Ok now I got tears again about the tree.
