Let’s be brutally honest here, this roster is garbage. Too many players who showed last camp that they shouldn’t be playing for us. What does Luna have to do to be looked at when we have a complete lack of creative midfielders? Why wasn’t Maloney there? Nathaniel Brown, Anrie Chase are crucial gets. Give Cole Campbell a chance, he can’t possibly be worse than Cowell and Zendejas

I can imagine the reaction to this roster if the manager was American

1. I support both teams and if Peppi would be given similar chances that Santi Giménez has had he would have similar numbers if not better.

2. Zendejas, Brandon V and Cade Cowell are not USMNT quality but I hope they prove me wrong.

This roster is weak, let’s just be honest. Injuries are a big part of that. But the roster hasn’t changed since last camp, and that ended in very disappointing fashion. Why? Why aren’t some other guys at least getting a shot?

Biggest head scratchers are Steffen… there are probably 10+ American keepers in better form right now. Can Matt Freese get some love? Miles Robinson is a head scratcher.

I pray there is method to the madness for Poch, because right now it doesn’t feel anything is different from the past 🙏🏽🤞🏽

With respect to the distinction between calling Richards and calling Adams, I suspect that Poch is trying to build relationships with the club coaches. He mentioned that at an earlier press conference. There may be some reason Bournemouth want Adams to train with the club.

If Pochettino starts Miles Robinson, that just tells me he's going to be another Berhalter, strange as that may sound, somebody easily influenced by MLS into calling in their useless MLS Lifers into the USMNT player pool.
And if Miles starts, that instantly means having to deal with giving up 2 stupid, unnecessary goals to Jamaica.

Maloney not being called up is my biggest gripe. Maloney is a starter on a Bundesliga team that finish top 10 last season and is playing in a Europe competition.

This is not the Worst Roster. Coach can not be blamed for injuries to Reyna, Maloney, Wright, Tyler(He is not ready for 90 minutes) Sargent (did not work last camp) . We need to realize the USa is not that deep contrary to the common believe . Relax Us will be fine

There are a lot of players on this roster that baffle me. And by a lot I mean 3 or 4. Out of 25. So it’s not a huge amount.

Agree with you on Steffen. What has he done to earn a call up? He has been bad. But I would say Turner and Schulte are our first two Keepers. Also don't understand the limitations on the fullbacks. Why not have backups?

Agreed would really like to see us get a good win away and then seal it up with a good win at home. But I am a little nervous with some of his squad selections. The first camp was the first camp, but hoping we can see some of the positives we are looking for under Poch in this 2nd camp!

The US was Balogun’s 3rd option… he wasn’t ever getting past Osimhen, Boniface or others… his connection to the US is extremely tenuous…

I'm guessing the lack of FBs and extra CB is pointing to Poch wanting to play three in the back again. I think he thinks Musah, Weah, and McKennie can play RWB. My guess is he starts McKennie out wide with Weah out for the first game, and starts Johnny, Musah, and Tillman centrally.

I wanna see a 3421 with Mackenzie , Richards and ream in the back. Musah and Jedi and wingbacks with Jonny and tessman in the middle and pulisic and Weston as “dual 10s” we can argue if that’s and actual name lol. And Pepi up top. I’ve done it over in my head dozens of times and that makes the most balanced lineup to me. Maybe swap trusty or scaly for Richards bc he’s just off injury

Truth is american fans over value the quality the usa has. Players have great games in divisions 2 and 3 and you think they sre the second coming. Then you critisize players playing in mexico a legit tio tier league. Its ridiculous. Half that usa roster wouldn't start in liga mx and most od you think they should start in top 5 leagues. Poch is calling in best available talent. Hes a coach he knows way more than you. If he doesnr call your player in they either suck or ar le not up ti snuff. Usa is not great.

I, for one, had a feeling Kochen was getting called and, to be honest, I cannot blame Poch for doing it; not when one considers his other options at GK. I also foresaw this situation at GK a few years ago back when everyone seemed so high on the likes of Sean Johnson and Bill Hamid, neither of which I rated even then. I knew that when we were down to Guzan and he was showing more decline than his previous promise that we'd be here unless someone emerged onto the scene.
