For some reason, I cannot wumpy on crystal. I can get high enough for the timed jump, but I never get the wumpy. I can on other surfaces, just not this one. What might I be doing wrong?

I don't get it, you have to do a wumpy to get on vertigo but to be able to do a wumpy you need chain so you need to get on vertigo first? or is the chain ability not required at all?
