Much more better good… you sound like me when I first wake up in the morning.
ОтветитьWhat would be the penetrating power of those little pellets be?
ОтветитьA lot of money for a problem that has been solved for decades.
ОтветитьTo those that want a cheep smooth bore .22 rifle you can rent a reamer cheep and convert an old bolt action rifle easy enough!
ОтветитьThank you for the side by side comparison i have been raging on other sights for saying rat shot is useless when they are shooting it out of the wrong gun>>> can you add 2-3 hand guns say 4" and 6" for comparison of patterns T.Y.
For those who say .22 lr. Shot is too wimpy let someone shoot you in the butt once and then tell me how wimpy they are 😂
Just scooped one and it's sweet I love the black ash wood
ОтветитьThat was downright interesting, thank you. I didn't really think the patterns would be so different. I'm not sure it's for me but it looks like a pretty safe option for folks near other houses.
ОтветитьSo still need to stay 10 or less feet with the smooth bore. After that its not much different than the rifled
ОтветитьHenry should make a mares leg version of this
ОтветитьPlease tell me how accurate if .22 rifle ammo fired though smooth bore up to what range it will hit the target of 3 inch accurately
ОтветитьThat was great. Now please show us how the garden gun does with shorts, longs and long rifle. I live in Australia and use a .410 for snakes etc but I LOVE Henry firearms so I would be interested in buying a garden gun especially if it can hit a rabbit at 25 yards (meters in my measurements) with a solid projectile. Do they have a pump/arcade version? That’d be too cool to refuse.
ОтветитьCan the H001 handle bird/snake shot?
ОтветитьThis gun is by far, the dumbest shit ever created. Why? So someone can buy it mistaking it for a real .22 then take it home to realize it’s effectively useless? Unless they’re willing to pay $1/rd for .22 shotshells. If they can find them.
ОтветитьHenry really missed out on making the H001 a takedown and selling barreled sets separately. I feel like way more people would have picked up a second smoothbore barrel over having to pay for an entirely new gun.
ОтветитьI love this little gun, the ash furniture feels so great
ОтветитьCan this rifle shoot short 22 aswell?
ОтветитьY’all need to do the regular 22 in the stain ash wood
ОтветитьSaw one of these at the local gun shop today while waiting on a transfer to go through, asked the guy about it and he didn’t know what the difference between this and the regular Henry .22 rifle so I googled it. Pretty cool
Ответитьthanks
ОтветитьCool concept but I think you'd be better off with a pellet gun.
Additionally, this rifle qualifies as a "firearm" just like a Glock 19 or an Ar-15 would be so if you happen to live inside city limits you could get nailed for shooting a "firearm" inside those city limits especially if you have a "nosey neighbor".
Henry should also make this type of rifle in a pump action.
I'm going to get my boy that for his 7th birthday day
ОтветитьHow loud is this gun? I live in what is basically a residential area with rural elements. Would this alert the neighbors if I were to shoot it on my property?
ОтветитьGood video Plinkster. Would love to see the same comparison with chronograph. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьMuch better good 🤣
Ответитьwe had 22 shot gun m16s in the uk for £150 back in the 80s .. with 22lr caryridges they were good fun
ОтветитьWould love to see regular 22s through the garden gun. Just in case you had to use it that way. Love my 22s.
ОтветитьNew idea, the Henry medicine gun. , chambered in 357mag/38 spcl, 44spcl/rem mag, and 45 colt. Short small pkg with a smooth barrel that can be stored in the boat or behind the seat or on the 4 wheeler. Perfect for when you come up on an aggressive cottonmouth or a big viper won’t let you walk around him.
ОтветитьA 410 would be better, at least you can shoot slugs and buck out of it also, unlike this garden gun. An air rifle would be superior for this use case too.
ОтветитьThat’s what .22 shot shells are for and why they get a bad rep.
ОтветитьThis was very informative. Thanks for posting.
ОтветитьPerfect for snakes that coil up under brush
ОтветитьOnly subbed cos 22plinkster!
ОтветитьIf anyone needs a rifle to shoot pests from 10 feet away, they should not handle firearms.
ОтветитьMy grandpa had a garden gun. Worked great and I want one now for snakes.
ОтветитьThis was very interesting. Very thorough and realistic, thanks 22plinkster.
ОтветитьWow.i have a Henry big loop.22lr I love it..but now I need the smoothbore version .thanks !!
ОтветитьI wonder if a gardener would prefer the H001 loaded with shorts?
ОтветитьI made a stock from 200 yr old barn wood and this Henry’s stock looks a lot like it. It was the absolute HARDEST wood I’ve ever worked with! Even harder than root burl! You can NOT drive a nail into it without predrilling a pilot hole and carving a rifle stock from it was no joke! I had a local Amish gentleman give me some advise and tips but it took me MONTHS to make it and sand it out but it looks AWESOME! I believe it’s even wood from an extinct Appalachian tree that was wiped out from some blight, a long time ago which is why I’ve had a LOT of strangers stop and ask if I would sell my barn/barn wood... But that’s another story.
ОтветитьI bought a Routledge bore .22 decades ago and was extremely disappointed when I realized what a short range weapon it really was. 25 feet max wasn’t adequate for much. Sold it and went back to a pellet gun.
ОтветитьI'm trying to decide between the garden gun and a Henry 410. It's for my wife for snakes on our 19 acres in FL. I'm not sure how effective the 22 shot shell is? I know the 410 will definitely kill snakes from a safe distance 10 to 15 ft. Thanks
ОтветитьLet's see some "slugs" out of that "shotgun" - I want to see accuracy at 15ft!
ОтветитьI love henry its my favorite all around gun but let's be honest about "the garden gun" its a half assed not finished regular original henry 22lr...same price but less labor and material equals bigger profit
ОтветитьAt $300, I. Think either a.410 or a.22 pellet rifle would be a better investment particularly with some areas having difficulty getting ammo.
Sorry henry no for me
Jmho
No bueno. Much more better good. I love this guy! God bless Henry and God bless America 🇺🇸
ОтветитьI wish CCI would come out with #9 shoot .22lr
ОтветитьMy dream is to have a "Tac" wall but with Henry's every caliber every finish.
ОтветитьNeed dragons 🐉 breath 22lr rounds 🔥🤔🤷♂️ for the garden gun
ОтветитьThanks. Very informative. You might try 25 and 30 feet; your patterns at 15 and 20 were consistent, and some shotgun barrels shoot patterns that don't expand in a linear manner as the range increases. Anyway, thanks, it's food for thought.
ОтветитьMagnum???
