10 JRPGs That Are Console-Exclusive to Nintendo Switch | Backlog Battle

A few people don't know how to read, so I CANNOT BELIEVE this has to be said again, for the fourth time, but here it is:

This list is for SWITCH CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE JRPGS. The Steam Deck, while portable, is still a PC. Cut it out with trying to rewrite the narrative that the Steam Deck is anything but a portable PC.

Hundred line defense is not a switch exlusive nor is harvestlla

I'm one of those people not owning a Nintendo console, thinking to buy a Switch 2 to be able to play all the games I've missed out on. I've got two more to add to the list (besides other entries of series you already mentioned):
* Tokyo Mirage Sessions
* Astral Chain

I haven't got it pre-ordered, so I'm probably going to have to wait some time before I can get my hands on a Switch 2, but that's ok. My backlog is insane already, and adding all 4 Xenoblade games isn't going to help.

xenoblade chronicles 3 hit me in the feels like no game ever did before. it was magnificent.

What a tremendously chill list. Love many of these myself and others I haven't experienced yet. Xenoblade 3 is an all-time classic. It's been an amazing console generation. Still can't believe we got a remaster of Baten Kaitos! All the best.

I never knew there’s so many people who want PC to be considered a console? He clearly said in the video these are console-exclusive games and some are on PC and yet a bunch of dummies still comment they’re on PC…

For someone who played mainly JRPGs on her 3DS, I really need to get into more on the Switch! Never played Xenoblade before, so that’s going on my list. And replaying Golden Sun which I played on my DS lite and absolutely loved…. Thank-you for this video :)

Love Golden Sun and i truly hope it makes a comeback.I remember seeing it at a local circuit city, saw the boxart as a younger gamer and fell in love how it looked i had to give it a purchase. Took me a while to purchase it as i was still a young jrpg gamer, lol but boy when i did it became one of my favorite GBA games of all time.

Bravery Default 2 is on steam I play it on my steamdeck 😅

triangle strategy is not. VR version exist and meta quest can be considered as a standalone console.

Dude, Triangle Strategy, The Hundred Line, Bravely Default II and Harvestella are available on Steam. How are these console-exclusive?

I love your list, although I got excited thinking I was able to get Golden Sun but I'm assuming it's a NSO exclusive (as well as Earthbound)

Triangle strategy isnt locked to switch .its on pc and even meta quest

Brigandine is still my fav. So far on switch for strategy / tactical games

What a great list! I seriously can't wait to play XC3! I'm still playing XC2 at the moment which is also an amazing game! I've also been eager to buy Three Houses before it becomes a rarity! 😅😊

Not that they are switch exclusive but any of the persona games and SMT v are all great games! Really hope metaphor and persona 3 reload come to switch 2. Been playing them on my ps portal and the portability aspect is awesome. Just wish the portal was a little more stable.

Great list, but I would have Tokyo Mirage Sessions over Dokapon without question.
Still can't understand why there was no Golden Sun collection for the Switch, like they did with the Advanced War series (wich I would put on the list.. .just can't picture which game I would remove.. probably Earhtbound or Golden Sun for them being attached to the NSO).
I am still waiting for a physical copy of The Hundred Line.. couldn't find it yet.
But nonetheless it is a great video. Thank you for making it.

While I'm sure the Switch 2 will bring its own unforgettable epics, I'm gonna miss the Switch being the "main" Nintendo console so much.
Something about it just brought out amazing, experimental and truly heartfelt RPGs.
It honestly has a spot as one of my all-time favorite consoles right alongside the SNES, PSone and PS2

Real ones know about the greatness of Dokapon Kingdom.

Wait, am I crazy, but Triangle Strategy is not exclusive to Switch? Neither is Hundred Lines for that matter... Nor is Harvestella

3 houses came out 5 years ago and we are STILL singing its praises and playing it. that is how peak that game is! also shout out to Dokapon kingdom. its an underrated gem that more people should play.

Golden Sun? INSTA CLICK, best RPG of all times, that game is what made me RPG fan when I didn't even like Final Fantasy, my clock alarm has the opening song on it, it just hit different. Also did you know that you could choose "NO" when Hans is asked to go in its journey to recover the stones and if you do so you get a bad ending instantly when the world fall in chaos and darkness while everyone perished?
Then about Fire Emblem it is the only Reason I even bought a Switch, and while Three Houses was peak Fire Emblem... I ran away from Engage and if that is the direction the franchise will follow I will walk in opposite way, so I hope we don't get again anything like that crap.

Alex what’s opinion on the Switch 2, I prefer physical games, I can’t explain but it’s part of the enjoyment, seeing it on your shelf. I held off buying a PS5 because I pinned my hopes on the Switch. Are there many JRPGs on the PS5?
