what an utterly stupid thing. I want a name. not an @ in my name. I could mention other tubers with an @ before. why make it my name. I hate this so much -.-

I was on the verge of deleting or hiding my account because my handle contained my last name and I felt unsafe - I had looked everywhere until I remembered that it was a handle and then found this video - thank you!!! VERY well done :)

Is there any way to remove them? Like, for some reason, I never saw handles up until today, I think I pressed ctrl and enter, then suddenly I'm seeing everyone's handles, not just my own, I'd appreciate the help if someone would tell me how to turn them off
