Nice, but how can I change direction back to forward after leaving the dead end track, and change the route to another track of the station? ;-)

The first mod shown on your search list @ Steam - Standardised Reversing Rules - allows you to selectively work on individual trains to prevent them from reversing. Much more flexible than the mod demonstarted :) Cheers.
