Do you know if there's any issues around using a non-human name for a pen name? Ive seen posts on the KDP forums suggesting it's a cause of account suspensions. I have a pen name that does not contain key words, but would be a challenge to describe as human...

I don't know if any line journals or others in that category would sell for 9.99 when most people will not raise prices and there would be that competition. I would be interested in a series on how you market and what has worked for you. Thanks, great video!

Also, how do i add pen names to different markets? It won't let me add a book to a market outside the primary because they don't have the different name registered. I thought they went across all markets...oops

ALSO.... LOL... i see a competitor who hasn't been in the market that much longer than me who has video matketing attached to their ads. How do i access that too, to stay competitive?

I'm with you Jenny. I think this is a great opportunity. It is going to improve the experience for customers and publishers. I'm sure it is disheartening for some publishers. In the long run it's going to remove some of the junky poorly executed AI low & medium content books. We are going to need to bring our best products forward, do high quality A+ content and give people a reason to choose us. I think it will spill over into high content as well. At higher price points customers become more discerning so anyone who understands marketing has an advantage. Especially now with the current economic uncertainty in the US marketplace. You have piqued my curiosity. What, pray tell, is the $150 self published book about? Dying to know. I have many valuable books but I either bought them new years ago and they became collectible or I hit very good yard sales. Mostly art books or museum books for exhibitions. My degree is in Art History.

Books that cost under $9.99 (typically low content books) are going to be receiving 50% royalties rather than the previous 60% royalties. All books that cost $9.99 and above continue getting their 60% royalties.

Your advice has been good so far. As a person who’s used AI to assist, watching info about what it takes for copyright has helped me.

Fantasy novel series and characters and a world I’ve been building since 2022. I feel a major attachment to my characters, so your info has been helpful.

Oftentimes, it's hard just to come up with only one book idea. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to create 5 or 6 books under that one book 😐

The problem is that even though my book CONTENT is worth $9.99 imo, the quality of the printed book is crap and not worth that much - flimsy cover, thin see through paper on the pages.. sometimes the cover isn't centred or the colours are off.. if Amazon is going to charge that much they need to raise their printing quality 😢

I noticed I started making sales with no income. So 2 weeks ago, I changed all the prices of my books and there's been no sales since then...still hopeful though
