Idk if anyone answered yet, but depending on whether you chill the cookie dough before baking, choc chip cookies take between half an hour and, like, 12 hours. Some recipes that use a softer dough because of the amount of liquid ingredients etc need proper chilling before they can be baked and hold their shape.

Cute (: The cookies were probably a bit breadier and fluffier due to over working the flour, which causes a more glutenous texture to form.

Your cookies came out like this because you mixed the batter too much, that's how you get cookies that are more like cake. The batter is supposed to be kinda loose and that's how you get these crispy cookies. Chilling the dough in the fridge a little would be prob better than adding more flour.

The reason your batter was more wet, could also be because of the weather. Humidity in the air can impact the batter.

Speaking from experience those videos from fitwaffle never take the amount of time they say, just fyi 😂

you cant mess with ratios in baking without knowing what you're doing - the amount of sugar, mixing, flour etc is what makes the chemical reactions work!

I bake all the time and for a good enough cookie, total 30mins since prepping, mixing, then baking is all included. Not really possible to do baking fast due to all of that. lol

I made that spinach gnocchi because it looked so pretty and the woman in the video sold me on it but it was NASTY. Idk what I did wrong and I'm too scared to try again. Also that brand of gnocchi is gluten free so I'm not sure if that was intentional, but generally gluten free stuff has textural issues compared to the real deal.
