The superior clarity of the A100 is so obvious it's not even funny. Ribbon tweeters are simply in a different league.

This is where its confusing, The A100s sound far better than the R2000db yet I'm listening to this on my R2000dbs.........


There is obviously a clear difference but R2000dbs are very good still.

A100 vs R1850DB, please. Really interesting.

No idea why r2000db is more expensive than my 1700bt. But 1700bt has brighter highs for sure, so it could maybe be a noticeably better competitor against A100 :)
1700bt has some problems with bass heavy tracks, but other than that its good.

a100 highs are just lit.

Pair the superior clarity of the A100 with a well calibrated quality subwoofer that has excellent extension and we'll have an amazing system.

the soundtrack "deep" is very important for the comparison....plz dont leave it aside

AirPulse is better. have these speakers burned? ( with "Tellurium Q System Enhancement CD" or other)

Hmmm za R2000DB dałem 999 zł a te A100 są za aż 3600 zł 😨 więc ust treble na +6 db i na Dynamic i jest jako tako 😆 A najlepiej w korektorze w pc podbić wysokie .Fakt że Edifier nie popisali się zbytnio w tym modelu z tym zakresem 😠 z chęcia bym je sprzedał.

Digital Stereophony, could you make a comparison (R1850DB or A100 + your DAC) and (optical cable from speakers to motherboard spdif port). It will be very interesting to compare. Maybe, people can save money on DAC if there will be no difference.

Both had almost same mids

R2000db is slightly v shaped
A100 is bright
both not my cup of tea.

You here things with the A100 that just aren't the same with the 2000...yes, the A100 is much more expensive but it's in another league in comparison

A100 sounds better but I already ordered R2000. Checking the price on Amazon... oh ok, never mind

Do you have any experience with Fluance speakers? I'm in interested in the edifier r2000db but Fluance ai40 have grabbed my attention with great reviews. However I cannot seem to find any direct comparisons between the two. Any suggestions?

AirPulse is manufactured by Edifier too. Supposed to be their high-end speakers. R2000DB is entry-level only.

Seriously considering the Airpulse A100. But it is 5 times the price of R2000db. (RM569 vs 2,799) Is it worth it?

I have currently Edifier R2000DB and I`m considering the upgrade to AirPulse A100, but the question is, is it really worth the 3x price, are they really 3 times better or even 2 times better in the real life ?

given the difference in price range, I'd go for edifier in terms of affordability! the difference isn't worth spending on imo

The r2000db is closer to the original track, imo. The AP100 is just too much bright it’s fatiguing. Besides that both are very good and balanced. but for the price, i think the r2000db is a no brainer unless budget is not a concern

Listening to this on my R2000. I've enjoyed these speakers but honestly A100 deserves the price whe nyou compare the build quality and internals, let alone the way they look which makes me wanting them so much. Not to mention, I've bought 2 pairs of R2000 and after 3 years both are faulty in left channel, so I'm pairing the main unit from each pair on an RCA cable to have a working stereo again! Premium pays in long time, trust me.
