Secirously, Banners of Ruin has been on both my Nintendo and Steam wishlist for quite a long, due for the deckbuilding and roguelike mechanics, but having a physical copy of it pretty much sold me the game even more!

Where can you buy the physical version of this, deck builders are right up my alley

Super tempted on this one… but $20 is still a bit high for me considering my backlog.

I feel like criticising a card game for RNG is like criticising Mario games for all the jumping. The whole point of deck builders is to build an efficient deck specifically to control the randomness! Still, a great review as always 👍

IMO what lacks in these deck games is the magic of animation and excitement that you can have in videogames. The move from paper cards to vg should/must take advantage of the visuals + graphics to enhance the player experience and bring that extra layer of fun that card games lack in real life decks, which like it or not is something Yu-gi-oh games have understood and done quite well.

Its just my humble opinion but these dark flash like animation doesnt do it for me. Easy pass

Hey guys I hate to sound like THOSE GUYS : but I support the channel and I’ve just realized literally my next door neighbor of 20 years or more is a bassist in a awesome band. Apparently they’ve even collaborated with disturbed which is crazy. ANY GIVEN SIN is the band and they’ve just signed a record deal on a huge coming out party! Spotify streams breaking records! Check them out! Be ahead of the curve cuz I definitely wasn’t! And be nice to your neighbors because you never know if they’re future serial killers or future celebs! really like card based games might pick this one up.

I’ve been looking for a game similar to Slay the Spire, as I’ve put about 200 hours into that. This looks like a great substitute.

This game has Excellent music. I hate rouge like games. They need to die now. Too many of them on the market.

I very much think visuals need to be higher. Also visuals sometimes reflects on personal preference. I really loved the are style in this game.

At the beginning i have two bears then once i get lone wolf and bastion on one of them i just let my enemies kill the other teamates and solo the final boss lol

Good to start off with the deckbuilding genre if you're new to it, but if you're experienced you'll find balance issues everywhere. The player is incredibly overpowered compared to enemies, even with the oaths. There's only one encounter that can maybe have a chance, and it's the Prince fight. The oaths themselves allow a combination of 3 run modifiers. Some combinations can set you up for an unwinnable run on the first encounter, but you wouldn't pick those anyway on a score run, their values are too low. I think after the devs introduce all the new content they plan to, they should do a rebalancing because everything needs to be looked at here.

It's full of bugs and the controls are shitty, not to mention the tiny text. Not even a bit of effort for the import

Edit: Remember if you’re a Switch LITE user you’re gonna want to really look at that small text size. I used a large TV to play.
