Could you help me with this, please? Is it ok to say: ''I've been to my uncle's.'' instead of: ''I've been to my uncle's house?'' Thanks.

I need to calm down in order to be able to get out of the vicious cycle.
Before going to the gym you feel lazy, but it always turns out that you have a whale of the time.
Time lets us think about the bad things happened in the past, as it was a water under the bridge.
He was whipped by her in their relationship, but he was in love and it was a vicious cycle, so the day they broke up, the past relationship has become a water under the bridge.
Nice class.

ОтветитьWater under the bridge - does it apply only or mainly to things/events that have negative overtone? For example, would it work in the joke like this one:
- We've been married for over 20 years. We have three beautiful children, a dog named Rufus and no mortgage to pay. Fortunately, it's all water under the bridge now. We divorced last week.
Can you use 'whale of a time' as a noun expression? For example:
- How was the meeting with the boss?
- Hmm... that was a whale of a time (ironically).
admire British accents all kindes ..Edinburgh Scottish .... n soforth...
