PLEASE stop calling them Dire Wolves.They are a hybrid of modern wolves with a limited amount of Dire Wolf genes . Humans have some amount of Neanderthal genes, that does not make us Neanderthals (although with some people you do wonder;). Calling these animals Dire Wolves is grossly inaccurate. The DNA of the creatures you have would not match up to the DNA of the Dire Wolf (that is if you even had a full genetic sequence , which I do not think you do). The naming of species in biology follows a system that is used worldwide. Aenocyon dirus is an extinct species. You have spliced some of it's DNA into the Grey Wolf. So we are looking at Grey wolves with some slight modification, not Aenocyon dirus.

Maybe the vast resources used to develop what basically amounts to a publicity stunt could be used to try to preserve species that are struggling in the here and now and facing extinction !!!

Those size comparison graphics between dire wolf and gray wolf seem very exaggerated, as well as adolescent - adult dire wolf. Gray wolves are pretty much done growing in height at like 9 months, and then they only keep adding mass to their bodies. There's not much height difference between adult wolves and adolescent wolves. They are FAST growers! How old are your (very cute) dire wolves in this clip, and what's their size at that point? But of course, I'll be very impressed if you'll present to us that they've grown ~40% larger than their surrogate in like a year or two, that would be wild.
