I was even more referring to asics, as I have understood the fit in the x-fly pro 3 and x-fly 5 is objectively largely even better than most mizuno even if the k leather is not as astonishing, (and now they are moving out of K since the synth is on lock). Got the pro 3 coming so cant say for myself yet, but I feel like most say the pro 3 is peak design and mizuno is peak leather. The same answer applies to asics too I hope even if they still make more radical changes with a new model compared to mizuno
ОтветитьI'm marking your words as BS. There is no way you can remotely compare Neymar and Hypervenoms to Jude and Preds. Neymar was competing with Messi and Ronaldo and just isn't even the best midfielder in Spain
Ответить1 month reviews I’ve found are great, maybe for your work load only do them for the big brands that you know people are more likely to buy (Nike and adidas etc) and more some more that have a lot of hype👊
ОтветитьNoah, how similar do you think the feeling of grip knit is to the sticky coating on the Puma ultra 5? I have a pair of the latter and interested to hear if the level of grip is similar? It’s a bit too much for me, find myself tripping over a bit when dribbling. Love it for shooting though

ОтветитьI personally agree with what has been said numerous times by others about one-month reviews, especially with boots that you've highly rated but have been touted with durability issues such as the TLSS boots.
Ответитьfor me, Phantoms are too loose (so I'd go half down) and too flimsy for power shots. I wish there was a little more hardness to the shooting area. Also a little too grippy when dribbling. Preds, good but a little narrow and the studs aren't aggressive enough.
ОтветитьNoah is there any leaks for any more gx2 colours if not this could be the end of the gx 2
Ответитьi love you videos 🙌
Do you know if theres coming sone new mercurials this summer ? Vapor 17 pls without gripknit 🥹
My life literally depends on your 1 month reviews, especially for the hypervenom remake, the durability is my main concern regarding these boots, I think they are way more valuable than the play test videos, however, we as ur comunity for sure understand if they will be more rare from now on.
ОтветитьWho cares about the boots, im gonna stare at this majestic bald man
ОтветитьForesight.
ОтветитьOne option could be creating a poll of boots to vote for each month. And when you f.e. already did a 1 month review on the Pred's latest gen you exclude it in the following polls until it gets updated. I really enjoy your 1 month reviews, because it is genuinely very informative. You explain every aspect clearly and it gives you a good view on the reviewed boots. Thanks for the content!
ОтветитьHey Noah, I’ll be honest you’re one month reviews are my favorite content you put out. I love how you go into extreme details. It really separates you from the other reviewers. Because the fit/feel and performance of the boot can change after a month, and your input has helped me tremendously. If you can still do one month reviews of the most popular boots/brands, it would be greatly appreciated
ОтветитьThe one month reviews are imprescindible, in my opinion. A boot can have a great first impression but lack the durability
Ответитьwould be nice if you do 6 months reviews to see durability and if the shoes kept performing for a while appreciate your videos bro🙂🙂
Ответитьplease a one month review of asics DS light X flypro3. (one month reviews are veryyyy important)
Ответитьwhat do you think about f50 remake yellow 2010
ОтветитьAnother thing I've thought about after watching your channel is the importance of trying boots on and prioritising what fits. For example to my sadness I struggle to fit into the latest preds and wonder "how come pro footballers on TV can all be wearing them?" I'm guessing most have custom fit boots? What that tells me is that boot marketing is a lie because pros dont wear the models for the general consumer. Can you comment on this in your next vid?
ОтветитьWhy would anyone want a vapor 1 remake if not because you'd want the old studs on new shoes and not the other way around. Nike has to be trolling on this one?
ОтветитьFor me what stood out (and are ur USPs) when i firstly saw ur channel in the speedportal plus one month review are ,a)a Pros review on a boot that actually puts a product to it limit ,b)ur one month review on the products was actully really smart and combined with the quality of the video i knew u would end up being the leading boot reviewing channel
ОтветитьHave u seen the leaks on the Nike phantom gx 3 I hope they are good for wide feet and stuff
ОтветитьRE 1 month review - I would ask what extra info and content do people get out of the 1MR v Play Test. It’s helpful, but not game changing. I would keep them going but on a non committal basis, and only do the boots you enjoy the most so you enjoy the extra work you are putting in and then they are a bonus to us when they get posted.
PS - I like Pred 25, but in my opinion the upper on the Pred 24 was far too stiff.
To answer your question about the importance of one-month reviews:
I actually discovered your channel through those reviews, and to me, they remain your most unique and signature content. They really set you apart in the football boot review space. Your one-month reviews are, in my opinion, the most comprehensive, balanced, and objective long-term boot assessments available. Whenever I’m considering a new pair of boots, your reviews are always my first stop—before SR4U, Unisport, Boot Wizard, or anyone else.
That said, I completely understand your point about how the sheer number of new releases makes one-month reviews for every top-end boot unrealistic. Here are a few suggestions I think could help maintain the value of your content but maybe reduce the number of hours/sessions you need to put in:
- Maintain Performance Category Ratings (without full-month wear):
Your one-month reviews often break boots down by key performance categories—soleplate, upper, heel lockdown, etc. I think you could still objectively discuss and rate these areas after a solid break-in period, even if you don’t wear the boots for a full month. Durability and long-term build quality are more subjective and variable anyway, so I don’t mind if that part is excluded or covered separately.
- Do Periodic “Follow-Up” Segments:
Consider doing update videos every 1–2 months where you revisit boots you've previously tested. These could even be part of your podcast rather than standalone videos. You could include a Q&A-style segment where viewers asking specifcally for boot updates—e.g., how a boot is holding up, if it's still competitive in its category, whether you still wear it, and why or why not.
- Focus One-Month Reviews on the Main Model:
You don’t need to do separate one-month reviews for models that are 95% identical. For example, there’s no need for both a Vapor and Superfly review, or a Luna and GX, if the only real difference is a collar. Instead, you could use a seperate form of content (maybe shortform?) to compare variations (e.g., collar vs no collar, Flyknit vs non-Flyknit, Karvo vs no Karvo, hybridtouch vs fibretouch on the F50, etc.) and give a short breakdown on how that affects fit feel and performance. Then, save the in-depth one-month review for the primary or highest-performing laced model of your choosing.
- Prioritize Widely Available Boots:
I’d personally rather see one-month reviews focused on boots that most people can actually buy. Reviewing limited editions like Wave Cups, DNAs, or remakes (e.g., Hypervenoms) is still interesting for playtests and impressions, but a full month of testing doesn’t add much value—especially since resale prices are high and most serious buyers will have made their decision well before a month passes. Similarly, while it’s cool that you feature smaller or regional brands, I don’t usually watch full reviews on boots that are hard to find or try on. Even if they’re technically available for worldwide shipping, the lack of access to try them on is a deal-breaker for me—and likely others too. I'd say you can exclude boots that are limited to one region, making exceptions only if the boot is a top perfomer amongst the competiton.
PS: Also, while I like the weekly boot comparisons I'd like to see new/different comparisons week to week. Coulda sworn I just watched you compare these two.
The one month reviews are really important in boots that change a lot like leather boots
ОтветитьI think having playtest/review video is good enough. Unless you have an update of the product (ie if you changed your mind after breaking in, durability, known issues from others etc etc)
ОтветитьI purchased the Predator Roteiro and also the Mania MIG and both sole plates started to separate from the leather after one match. It’s made me lose my faith in leather adidas boots. I sent both back which is a shame.
I agree that the new Merc Vini are unreal looking 👌🏻
I do think the one month review videos could be hella short too. 3 minute video.
ОтветитьI’m gonna put this as honestly as I can: for me the 1 month reviews are the best thing you do period, yes I like the play tests the unboxings and this podcast, but that was your USP bro, it was the thing that made you stand out plus it gives me such an informative review and helps me a lot with buying decisions because it gives me an understanding of what the shoes are like long-term and after heavy use which frankly 0 reviewers cover.
As for the second part of your question, I’d say no need to 1 month reviews on boots from like smaller or obscure brands because frankly no one can get them or very little can get them, so it would be a waste of time, I think maybe keeping
1 month reviews to the more popular brands as that way you could find time for those and more people would be interested in getting a long-term idea of those shoes.
But overall, I’d love to see them come back of course I 1000% understand you have backlog and it’s difficult to find time for them, but id like to see them back.
The one month reviews are a great way for me to determine what’s worth my time. The playtest videos are also good because I feel it’s a more free flowing thought kind of video.
ОтветитьPlayed my coed competitive league last Friday and a friend has the MercRegens. He is one of those guys that always buys the limitedEd Mercs. He does not like them. Says they feel clunky and are not comfortable.
ОтветитьTaxes and boots! What a treat 😂
ОтветитьHad been using gx2 ag for a month. The only downside is the soleplate is too soft, prefer a more responsive one.
ОтветитьThe tiempo used to be a “no brainer” cleat now it sucks. Besides the vapors, I don’t think any of their cleats are very inspiring. Also people are embracing smaller brands (which may be a good thing)
ОтветитьBro mizuno would sell like crazy if they remake the wave ignitus 1 or 2 and the rebula 3
ОтветитьOne month reviews are, for me, the most valuable videos you do. I enjoy watching the playtest, but what matters to me most is the durability and feel for the boot once it is part of your practice and game rotation.
ОтветитьI think 1 month reviews is one of the things that made u stood out compared to other influenceres looking for how much important it is and no one is doing it I think u should do it for top boots at least and sacrifice other thinks that maybe don't matter and alot of creaters are doing it like colorways and unknown boots laceless ag special editions
ОтветитьNoah (or anyone!) - Any opinions on upgrading the insole of the Phantom GX2 elite (size 4 for my 10 year old - just a TAD to big (hey I bought an elite they need to last!). I figure in combination of the WeFoot cushioned grip socks and upgraded insole that will work. thanks.
ОтветитьHey Noah or anyone reading this, I was wondering if I should get an AG pair or SG pair of phantom GX 2s for the UK when I'll be playing on sometimes muddy grass pitches depending on the time of year. If you do read this, I would appreciate any advice, thank you 🤩🙏
Ответитьwhat’s the best boot for supppppppppeeeerrr wide feet people?
ОтветитьWe need review of hypervenom
ОтветитьNo need for 1 month reviews, just review them after around 10-15 hours of wear testing
ОтветитьI might buy a Phantom GX 2 it just look absolute beautiful!
Ответить
