Americans need to wake up, and we need to repent. I'm not even a Christian and i know this! We need to repent for the choices we've made, whether intentional or simply due to apathy that have contributed to poor quality of life for people all over the world. For the horrors we have inflicted, the bullying that has taken place against entire countries and their people. For our own convenience or comfort. But i think mostly we need to repent for the amount of waste and disrespect that humans have given towards this planet. Everyone who cares about this beautiful planet needs to start putting their foot down and saying NO when ordered to do something you know is wrong. If you work at a grocery store that throws TONS of perfectly fine fresh produce and other food items into the trash every day and if that doesn't sit right with you, SPEAK UP! And if the grocery store you shop at refuses to donate their produce for a community compost pile, much less to a food bank or low income people in the community, then the community should BOYCOTT that store. Everyone needs to start voicing what they know in their heart is RIGHT. When the corporations and the elite and bosses and managers and a paycheck are no longer around you're going to understand in a very profound way that our devotion as human beings should be to Gaia always! God first of course, then Mother Earth, then EACH OTHER not asshole billionaires who wish we would all just die already!
Without this planet and all that she provides we would have nothing!

Part of being prepared for whatever may happen next includes being prepared for another world war. What could we expect if this happens during our lifetime? Even if the next world war does not go nuclear or involve a regional EMP attack, we know there will be major disruptions to international shipping. We know there will be an increase in "denial of service" attacks by foreign hackers via the internet. We know that sleeper agents and some radicalized Americans could be directed to attack power substations and rail lines and sabotage factories. And we know the cost of everything would probably rise.

Those of us who are preppers need to make sure we have what we need to maintain a normal lifestyle even if the local power grid is down for weeks. We need to make sure we can get weather information, emergency bulletins and pay our bills even if the local internet service and cable TV service is down for weeks. So, we need to have enough cash at home so we can pay in person or with a mailed money order even if our bank's data storage system gets destroyed or is being held for ransom or the local power grid is down and ATMs are not working or the internet is out and we cannot pay bills online. We need solar panels and solar power banks to provide renewable power for radios, refrigerators, washing machines and other frequently used machinery and electronics. We need to stay in the habit of keeping our vehicles well maintained because repair parts and new tires will be in short supply during the next world war, if past wars are a guide for what to expect.

We absolutely need to have one or two year's of long-term food storage and the ability to cultivate a vegetable garden each spring. Those of us who can keep a few backyard hens for fresh eggs and some rabbits for meat will be much better off that those households that do not have these resources. And of course, we will need plenty of ammo for self-defense and perhaps for hunting because one of the first things that happens in war is your country's government will decide most of the ammo production will be for only military and law enforcement use -- just like what happened in the U.S. during WWII. If you are a hunter, you may have to shift to running trap and snare lines for small game animals.
