I been using reptichip and can relate to the packing and moister not spreading very well. I will give coco blocks a try down the road once I out of reptichip. Kc brand i heard of a couple months ago but it is the most expensive for me of the 3.

Good content. Love the comparison. I have been using the cocoblox for 2 months now. Bigger chunks are harder for the snakes to ingest as well.

I use fir bark and when I open the bag I spray it down and turn it a little bit and it keeps the dust down a great deal because if I don't spray it everyone's sneezing it gets in my eyes and mouth and it is just horrible

I decided to support support reptichip because they had a warehouse fire, so I feel like it’s good to help support their big lost

Are you breaking down the Reptichip dry or are you adding water first?

Yea I have to make a point to go in each tub to mix up and refluff the reptichip or coco block, didn’t matter what brand,, but if I didn’t mold for sure started coming in and I’ve noticed reptichip brand though gets white/ moldy or random individual coco chips and with the coco block I only really got mold where say if I put a live rat in, and it poops once or twice, if I can’t find the poop pellet a day or two later I’ll see where it is bc the spot started molding, so Idk, idk if it’s the fact it’s an organic material so it’s always gonna be subjected to molding/ growing bacteria or if it’s bc only the urate / poop spots orrr if it’s a air circulation thing.... but I’m always on the ball having to remix the coco in the snake tubs. If I don’t I have to change and throw away fairly quick, nice vid though

I’ve been using coco chips from Castro constrictors. So far so good and best on humidity. I’ll give KC reptiles a try and see. Another good video man 👍🏻👍🏻

I tried kc reptilelab coco and I gotta say i was surprised. It's washed 5 times so its very little dust and easy to break up. Still haven't had any mold. Trust me Baker you'll fuck with it

Only use reptichip for my blue tongue and geckos. My snake rack is strictly unprinted newspaper. They eat, shed and crap all fine.

Thanks for the breakdown. I wanted to start using coconut husk again, but hate spending so much money on something I throw away
