Probing and stenting of nasolacrimal duct with fluorescein irrigation

hello doc .... can irrigation probing be applied to adult female patients? the diagnosis is tear duct tottaly blocked in the right eye

How long is recovery from such a procedure?

How long does it takes after this procedure is done for the duct to start functioning properly?? Is there any chances that the pt needs another surgery?

im confused. so now the silicone is in the drainage system how does tears drain at all now? do tears drain in between the silicone and ducts? or within the stent? but it is closed ended at the punctums...

My 6 month old son is getting this done tomorrow.
