My iPhone does all this .
ОтветитьI LIVE using the main rear dial on my Z's! I have it setup to work in S and A priority modes. This is a great review because that might be a deal breaker for me. Having something important on a dial that doesn't lock is not good as most have experienced on the Z lenses custom dial. I find the front/top dial much less ergonomic than Nikons too. Not having a locking exposure compensation dial on EVERY camera is a bit strike. I wish these had a warm LED flash/fill/model lamp on them. I'm going to try one out anyway!
What APS-C's really needs is a pro level 15-75mm f4 or f2-4 lens. That way you get a better size and performance balance. Sigma's 17-70 was very popular for this reason as was Nikon's 17-55f2.8DX.
I have nikon d810 dslr with couple nikon lenses, I want to skip mirrorless system but nikon mirrorless lenses are just too expensive without third party options. Also nikon is so slow on autofocus. As photographer, I'm ok with d810 but 4k is really needed. So completely lost right now.. sony, canon.. apsc, full frame. I thought this canon rf7 would solve my problem but rf lenses... I came back same place :/ Sony a4 is good with third party options as highest price tag :( After taste 36 megapixels full frame, hard to skip fully to aps-c systems
ОтветитьThey could have called it R350... 😄
ОтветитьThanks for good review! It is possible to turn-off this autofocus-small region select during filming 4k ? i want to catch wide range of nearest obiects like tires pile-2-3meters walking around without any bluring backgrounds and focusing ?
Ответитьif only they’d make some better apsc lenses…
Ответитьmeh canon should focus on full frame only the canon rp is full frame and pretty danm cheap
ОтветитьGreat cameras for entry level folks. Lots of features…good reviews guys. Now go back to the hotel and take showers . Phew ! 🤭
ОтветитьOrdered the R7, can't wait to play around around with it. I'm moving over from the M50, so this is a heck of an upgrade for me.
ОтветитьOnce Canon make a equivalent to Fuji’s XF 10-24mm f4 and 33mm f1.4, the R7 will be very hard to resist. This camera has just about everything I can ask for in a APS-C camera. The video specs are really nice (not ultra deluxe, but I’ve seen other videos where the footage out of it is quite impressive) and the stills capabilities are wonderful. Definitely my next camera purchase and certainly the first mirrorless APS-C system (besides Fujifilm) that has impressed me in a long time.
ОтветитьWear some real shoes if you're going to take photos.
ОтветитьI want to know how R3 hold the details at the high ISO in CLOG3
ОтветитьGuys, have you ever recorded a video explaining downsampling or oversampled video meaning? Thanks
ОтветитьI so want the R7 , I mostly photo indoor sports. Will this camera work for me anyone who knows ?
Currently using the Nikon D7200 but changing over to Canon.
If Canon now started a new lens series for cropped sensor, then why did they have to stuck with the 1,6x crop? They could have made a 1,5X crop like all other aps-c sensor seized cameras. Now they have that disadvantage of a smaller sensor than the competition again. I don't get it. Anyone got any ideas?
ОтветитьDefinitely a strange comparison possibly, but I'm looking at the Canon R7 vs either a Sony A7iii or an A7C. Canon has super fps in comparison, and much higher resolution rear screen, but it's APS-C and Canon glass is SO expensive. On the other hand the Sony's are full frame with much more flexible (imo) variety of lens options at various price points. As of today on B&H = Canon R7 is $1,599 - Sony A7C is $1,698, and A7iii is $1,798.
ОтветитьI feel like these cameras are really meant for sports and wildlife where it's nice to have the extra reach and good auto focus, and they are a much cheaper alternative to the R5 or R6. I feel like the R7 will make a perfect pair for my EOS R.
ОтветитьUsed to shoot Canon 10 years ago. Long since switched to Sony, then Panasonic, and now Fujifilm. Can't see any compelling reason to switch back. Feels like Canon has been playing catch up for a decade now and still can't lift themselves out of third or fourth place.
ОтветитьMy personal experience is that DPReview is Pro-Cannon and Anti-Consumer when it comes to taking sides in their website forum where they try to supress Canon's bait and switch sales practice on its US website.
ОтветитьWonder if they will make a RF 10-18mm IS Lens
ОтветитьWhat’re your thoughts on the “Auto Level”/“Auto Leveling” setting for both photo + video???
ОтветитьThe R7 in a Body of the M-System would be amazing. But I will not buy a new R APS-C Camera. There are no good APS-C RF Lenses. Could need years to bring out a solid lens lineup and than these cameras are outdated :D
After Canon is going bad on the M-System I will not invest in any other R Camera. Also that they not allow Sigma and Tamron on the RF Mount is bad for the competition. Bye Canon, I guess you lose a lot of EOS M Owners. :)
How sad Canon killed EOS M System
Ответитьthat's called football not soccer by the way XD
ОтветитьWhen can we expect a detailed review of R7?
ОтветитьI'd love to see the r7 put up against something like a used A7C. More third party lens options and about the same price.
ОтветитьDoes R7 have GPS tracking
ОтветитьHi, I have one question that is most important to me as an event photographer, is it with the EF-EFS lens adapter in video photography Decreases the number of frames from 50 to 25 as in the camera R ?
ОтветитьWhich of these would be recommended if you're only looking for the photography results, and don't care as much about video? I'm looking for something around the $1000 to upgrade my ancient T1i. T8i, R10, M6 Mk II, etc.
ОтветитьThe R line is getting confusing
ОтветитьAlso.. M amount officially dead?
ОтветитьIt's interesting that Canon and Nikon can't do a kit lense to compete with the Fuji 18-55 2.8 -4
ОтветитьA bit hypersensitive of you, if you don't like the grip much esp those with shorter fingers. The point is, does it take awesome pics. ?
ОтветитьCanon India and Asia websites show that R10 is having 5 axis IBIS in their specifications, but everywhere its like the camera lacks this feature, whats the reality about IBIS in R10, please help me with this.
ОтветитьThank you for the review.
How does R10 with ibis hold against R7 for handheld photography?
Awesome camera with no lenses to use for wildlife. 500mm f7 is a joke and a big mistake by canon. If all 7dmarkII users haven't all ready jumped ship they will be shortly.
ОтветитьI am buying it for wildlife 🥰 thanks Canon.
Ответитьis the R10 a upgrade for the 100d ?
ОтветитьI video shoot the R10 on a gimbal, so the lack IBIS isn't a problem. But what's the best approach to photo shooting with unstabilized lenses (like the RF 50mm1.8) without a tripod?
Ответитьi love my R7 i sold my 90D and i dont regret it ... think too sell my 1500 600 sigma for the 100 500 L Canon But $$
Ответитьsometimes too sharp with blur background make thing look like created from green screen...
ОтветитьR7 looks like a good package at mid price segment.
ОтветитьI bought the r10 and I love it
ОтветитьI love the way one of the men widen his eyes when showing auto focus function. :)
ОтветитьI love these cameras, but i just watch the videos to hear chris say... Blah blah blah
BUT !!!
blah blah
Thank you for the review!
ОтветитьBuy r10 and a lens kit instead r7
ОтветитьIncredible quality of this video, very very good job.
