I've had this non-mechanical keyboard that came with my old computer for 7 or about 7 years now, but because I type so fast I'm thinking more and more of getting a mechanical keyboard. Apparently you can also buy blank key caps. After all, who needs letters printed on the keys if you're a sufficient touch typist? I can't see them anyway, so makes no difference to me. What do you think of the column versus the staggered/offset sort of structure?
ОтветитьI’ve had the same damn non-mechanical keyboard for about 6 years that I use every day and it still works perfectly. Mechanical keyboards are just for people that want to waste their money on something.
ОтветитьI want One that doesn’t have the buttons on the right ride, they always throw me off when I type
ОтветитьGateron, Keychron and Kailh switches are really good, they're not just imitations, and many people prefer them over Cherry MX's, including me with Kailh switches (I use box red and speed copper's)
ОтветитьWhy you guys confuse people for just simple things
ОтветитьWhos watching in 2024

Hi
ОтветитьI didn't really know that two types of keyboards existed. We some membrane keyboards in our dad's store. But there was TVS gold which was mechanical and only office people bought it. I didn't give af. It was years ago. But once I went to my bank for a student loan and saw that keyboard there. The employee typed on it, my ears were extremely satisfied. And now I think it's okay to spend a ton on keyboards if you like it.
ОтветитьHey there! Based on your comment, it seems like you're interested in a neat and effective solution for keeping your mechanical keyboard clean. Have you heard of the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule? It's a compact device with powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, perfect for maintaining a spotless setup. You might find it handy for your cleaning routine! 😄🔧
ОтветитьAwesome explanation, to the point, explained in simple terms, thanks!
ОтветитьI loved those IBM buckle spring keyboards. 5250 and 3270 terminals came thus equipped. The feel and feedback beats everything else in the ground.
ОтветитьWhat about ROMER G switches, in my experience, they are pretty good, but they have a really low lifespan, and the connector between the switch and the keycap is extremely brittle, composed of 4 small pieces of plastic, if one of them breaks you can A, just use it as is, or B replace both the switch and the keycap. The plastic is stuck inside the switch its self and the keycap can no longer attach.
ОтветитьMm
ОтветитьMechanical kbs are great except, don't last longer than warranty in my experience, regardless of what the tech-savvys advocate.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьI've never used a mechanical keyboard in over 25 years of heavy computer use. Never had a membrane keyboard fail on me, I don't understand how the heck can durability be a factor here... Can someone tell their personal testimony on such occurrence?
The feel and customization of mech vs membrane..., now that's the only reasonable criteria for spending the extra money on these....
This is a lot.
Ответитьthis video was like 90% about switches something about that is funny to me
Ответить"Lower quality than cherry" right after he mentions Zeal....loool. Hate to break it but cherry switches trash, bruv
Ответитьgonna try and make my own mechanical keyboard once i get my desktop fixed! thanks for this good intro!
Ответитьisnt this the shit we used in elementary school in the early 2000's? those tube goofy colored macs
Ответитьthanks for this video
ОтветитьDarn good video, with compact and complete info without explanatory nonsense!
ОтветитьThank you so much. I've been learning about switches and this is by far the most helpful video to clear my understanding. Thank you so much!
Ответитьthis didnt age well
Ответитьi have a mechanical keyboard its so pbig it like takes quarter of my table btw if your wondering what is my keyboard its a bloody B150N gaming keyboard
Ответитьdamn cool
ОтветитьWhere can I buy these keyboards in the UK / online? Thanks
Ответитьwhen i built my pc i forgot to buy a keyboard, and after i set it up i went on amazon and bought the cheapest keyboard for 25$ that id use for a week or two till i get the keyboard i want, its been 2 years and im still using that keyboard cause i never bother buying a new one cause whenever i had money to spend i'd spend on anything else i didnt have
Ответитьyes, I am using a mechanical Keyboard for last 12 years and it still working best.
Ответитьmate the only thing you talked about were switches
ОтветитьThe reason i dislike browns is whenever i type i feel like im typing on membrane keyboard cuz of that bump without tick sound. Membranes also have rubber bump
Ответитьokay this video is somehow outdate as optical switches now become more popular... i guess...
ОтветитьEveryone keeps trying to get me to switch to a gaming board. Dude, the clack is annoying for rhythm games, and distracting in other games. When typing, it distracts me from what I'm thinking about, and annoys everyone else. I grew up in the 90s, and i still love the default rubber keys on my P53e enough that I've swapped almost every part on the board over the years just to keep the casing.
Ответить*me being pretty bad at PVP*
*Watches video*
Me: WAIT THATS WHY, I GOT THEM RUBBER KEYBOARDS MY LAPTOP SUCKS-
I won’t have to worry cause I’m gonna look for a good one at stores YEEEEAAAHHH-
"Personally my favorite are browns"
So you have chosen death...
as an enthusiast i cant believe what he said about switches
ОтветитьMembrane keyboard last also forever! You can even change their rubber rome (membrane) and they will last literally forever
Ответитьgood vid
Ответить“He called cherry mx browns good”
ОтветитьI need a quick summary and review on outemu switches. outemu blues to be exact
ОтветитьFinally someone mentioning the keyboard names! Phew!
ОтветитьVery helpful!
ОтветитьAt least he uses cherry cleats instead of cherry browns
Ответитьwhat's with the missing "Esc" keycaps?
is that the fashion these days?
I mostly care about switching caps. Do I have to look for words like ‘hot-swappable’ ? There are so many 60% boards out there but I'm confused on which ones can switch caps or compatibility
