I'm not able to download my old cakewalk plugins from my account anymore. Any suggestions on how I can get dimension pro? It's almost like they have disabled the download feature.
ОтветитьThats good 👍
ОтветитьHi Robert
Thanks for the demo. I am very new to the Cakewalk daw. But I have used other brand daws before. I was impressed watching people using the previous version from Sonar.
When I downloaded I noticed I would have got the newer version. The question I have is how do I import a plug-in or a file in to cakewalk. I have seen Export option. Couldn’t find the import function. If you have already discussed please send my the link
Thanks
Thanks to you I've recovered my beloved Rapture Pro after several years absence. So deep deep thank you. 🤡
Ответитьjust left the website and sonar is still available
ОтветитьHi! I'm still using Sonar Platinum. So I am interested could I somehow install a new version from BandLab no interfering with old version system files at all?
ОтветитьHow to connect external editor to bandlab? I have sound Forge 9. After select audio clip and choose from menu sf9 a sf9 run and nothing, no clip to edit
ОтветитьWhich of them is/are free?
ОтветитьI wish cakewalk was
available on iMac OSX , I has sonar X3 and I love it , now I’m stuck with Logic Pro x
This guy has a real soft mouth. Just a very soft mouth sound. Really soft mouth sound feed.
ОтветитьYou have answer some excellent comparison questions. Thanks and keep up the great work.
ОтветитьI wonder if this is why whenever I first start the older cakewalk sonar professional I play it and if I stop playing the program freezes... once I restart the app it works fine... I'm gonna see if I can upgrade to the new one...
ОтветитьSounds to good to be true I have Sonar 8.5 not platinum. Can I still upgrade and keep all my 3rd party and existing plugins when upgrading from Sonar 8.5?
ОтветитьWhat are the advantages to use Cakewalk by Bandlab rather than Sonar Platinum?
Ответитьam i tripping or this guy sounds like that dad bunny from Zootopia
ОтветитьGo buy Sonar 8.5 professional, you can still download the updates for up to 8.5.3. Sonar 8.5 hands down is the most stable version of all Sonar products! I installed Cakewalk by Bandlab and within the first hour it crashed 10 times! It's also very sluggish. Sonar 8.5 is very snappy and can do many tasks at the same time with no hiccups! ... So, do you want an extremely buggy program? Cakewalk by Bandlab is extremely buggy! I just don't have the patience or time to use that! It was able to open my recent project, but kept wanting to use Melodyne VST3 plug-in instead of the VST2 version that I used on Sonar 8.5.3. I didn't get a choice to choose the VST 2 version... So I had to disable VST 3 plug-in. It played fine for 2 minutes, then crashed. WTF? Didn't do a thing, crash. I restarted it, unfroze a track, selected that track and played with my midi...after 5 keystrokes...crash!! WTF?? Yeah... Too much crashing going on! Sonar 8.5.3 doesn't get phased at all!
ОтветитьMy only question is why is sonar still on the website?
ОтветитьBandlab has taken a crap I can't even track without crackel other DAWs work fine.
ОтветитьThank you for this video! My biggest concern about Cakewalk by Band Lab has been the possible loss of existing instruments and plug ins. That’s why, for over 4 years now, I haven’t switched over. The Sonar interface is SO user friendly and intuitive, I’m glad Band Lab has maintained this format and design.
Your video has given me the confidence to know I can switch over without any loss of functionality or currently saved projects.
Again, thank you!
👍🏼 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Will my old sonar platinum projects open in the new band lab version. I’m referring to the cwp files.
ОтветитьI have an old SONAR PRO version 4 will it be compatible with the new Cakewalk BandLab?
ОтветитьRob do you have to be online in order to use cakewalk by bandlab?
ОтветитьI have a long history with Cakewalk from when it was a sequencer only for Windows 95.
I’m still using Sonar 8 Producer on a WindowsXP box.
I bought Sonar Platinum for $500 just before it went belly up. Never used it since my XP system still runs.
Now I’m considering buying a new computer to install Cakewalk by Bandlab.
Any videos on specing one out?
Thank you very much.
ОтветитьCan we use the songs for selling and commercial purposes made in cake walk........
Will there not be any problem
Please reply
Your sound carries way too much bass- it is 'boomy' and very annoying
ОтветитьGee I wish I can make music again? But my Sonar x3 doesn't work anymore because I can't register it? So i downloaded Cakewalk by Band Lab, well everything went great until I was dealing with latency problems. So i installed Asio 4 All. So I did that then everything went to Hell. I was getting totally no playback. no matter what I did? Then after that cakewalk by Band Lab wasn't working at all so I had to uninstall it along with Asio 4 All. so I spent and wasted more time by reinstalling Cakewalk by Band Lab 3 more times. which was not successful I have no idea what had just happend? Do you know on what I can do?
ОтветитьI have a Band Lab account but it's not getting me anywhere? I put in my Username and it doesn't go through? Dude I'm so disappointed right now I had just wasted 8 hours of this non sence, when I should be making music?
ОтветитьI started with Home Studio 4 XL I think and ended up with Sonar Producer X3.. I'm finally taking the plunge to BandLab stuff after seeing this video :)
ОтветитьCakewalk STILL has MIDI lag 🙁..in fact EVERY DAW I've tried has MIDI lag..with the exception of presonus studio one 🤷♂️..no lag there.
ОтветитьIs there a hardcopy of the latest (2020+) book available somewhere? I just checked Amazon & all the books are over a decade old!!
ОтветитьI'm sorry but the Cakewalk by Bandlab is buggy and faulty. It crashes a lot, while Sonar Platinum be standing strong. I've experienced this firsthand on two PC setups. Bandlab crashed so many times that I totally went back to Platinum and stayed there. Hopefully they'll fix all these bugs.
ОтветитьWhere is the "Link Below" that outlines the differences between Sonar and Bandlab"
ОтветитьCan I install Cakewalk by BandLab first then Sonar platinum?
ОтветитьYou didn’t specify or talk about any of the CPU system requirements needed to upgrade to Cakewalk BandLab. I am running ‘Cakewalk Express’ that came with Windows XP. Can I upgrade to Cakewalk BandLab from Cakewalk Express on Windows XP?
ОтветитьI love the old Sonar X3
ОтветитьI started out with Protools as my daw, then Steinberg Wavelab was my daw, then Acoustica Beatcraft was my daw, then FL Studio for the LONGEST time was my daw, now I'm trying out Cakewalk and I like it pretty good.
ОтветитьDoes it work on a Mac Mini? Awesome video!
ОтветитьI have a computer that I am replacing with a new one. I have Sonar Platinum installed on the old machine. How do I go about using the old plug-ins installed on the Sonar Platinum with the new machine? To add an additional problem, the email I used for the old program was dropped due to costs (mindspring charged $12 a month so my wife and I could use our names in our email account). Do I have a solution?
ОтветитьCakewalk is a win
ОтветитьThe question in 2023: Cakewalk? Next!
ОтветитьThank you for the information. It has answered many questions that I had about upgrading from Sonar to Bandlab. I appreciate you sir!
ОтветитьI started with SONAR PRODUCER 8.5.3 ... I stayed with it through the Gibson debotchery. I still use it! I do however have the new Cakewalk by Bandlab but have never used it. I never got on the X1-X3 bandwagon or jumped to platinum. I paid the full boxed version of Sonar Producer with all 4 discs. I paid 399.99 for it when 8.5 was the King Flagship. After downloading Cakewalk by Band Lab all my favorite "cakewalk" pluggins were missing and can't get the BandLab version to bring them in. Opening an older project any fx I used arent there. So I have to this day not used BandLab version. My proplem is i am still running Windows 7 pro and have yet to upgrade to Windows 10. Now 11 is out. I'm afraid to upgrade since if I have to do a fresh install my liscdnse and activation codes are useless to reinstall 8.5 and when I did talk to Band Lab I was told I cant get my stuff from 8.5 so I am basicly screwed. What gives and is there anyway around it? I would use the new Cakewalk if only I could still get both my 3rd party plugins as well as my Cakewalk DirectX fx to be recognized. HELP!?😐🎸
ОтветитьHello. I am a Sonar Platinum user. Does anyone have knowledge about the CommandCenter application and its future? Should I worry that they will disable it and I won't be able to reinstall the software? For now, I want to stick with this version, but I'm slowly looking for another DAW.
I would be grateful for any hint.
Regards.
I still use the final version of Cakewalk Sonar Platinum from before the end of Cakewalk under Gibson, and the Bandlab takeover. I installed Cakewalk by Bandlab, (mostly out of curiosity), but honestly haven't seen much of a difference between the two in "real-world" use, especially in the claimed "stability" and "bug fix" department. I've honestly never noticed any stability issues with Sonar Platinum over the years and can't recall the last time I came across an issue I would call a "bug", but maybe I've just been lucky.
ОтветитьKeeping the free version
ОтветитьWow, this came up and I thought it was talking about going from Cakewalk by BandLab to the new Cakewalk SONAR (should you switch?). But it's the reverse, back 3 YEARS AGO! LOL
Ответитьvery helpful. THANKS!!!
Ответить..... where is the link that you mentioned lists all the differences between the old one and the new one ?????
ОтветитьHello..
I know this is 3 years late but I'm gonna try asking. I purchased Cakewalk Sonar long before Bandlab.. I have not used it the past 2-3 years. Now when I try to use it prompts me to subscribe to Bandlab - $99/yr.
I tried to log in to the legacy Cakewalk no success, even with password reset (I never received the link to reset). Because I paid a few hundred $$ to purchase the software.. I feel I am entitled to continue to use, and not have to now pay the $99 membership/subscription fee. What can I do?
