Outer Worlds 2 Is Getting TRASHED For Its $80 Pricetag, Microsoft's Greed Is Getting CALLED OUT

Meh, won't bother me, I have Gamepass, so I'll play the hell out of it, just like I did the first one. I don't own the first one, and I don't care, I'm not going to play it again anyways, same will be true for the 2nd.

I got the "Spacer's Choice" edition of the first game from Epic for free in one of their weekly giveaways. I thought it was boring as shit, the combat sucks, the companions aren't memorable at all and I didn't have any drive to complete the story. With that said, why the fuck would I ever pay eighty dollars for more of the same?

The game has been $80 on PSN since its release,
When it first came out I was determined to buy that game,then seeing the price was 80 I decided to wait for a sale,the only sale since release was probable a $10 off sale
So as time goes by I find myself not interested in the game anymore,and now I have decided I probable will wait a few years when the gamed is 7.99
I have invested my money into 3 other games that were cheaper since the release of kingdom come deliverance 2

Most people, streamers, only subbed GP for a month to review certain game, and never touch GP ever again..

I should have at least 100 games in my steam library waiting to be played. I can simply sit and wait for new games to go on sale and buy them for $20. But from Obsidian, not even for free I'm getting those slops.

I beat the first outerworlds and felt it wasn't worth the 60$ i paid for it. Probably one of, if not, the most overrated game ive ever played.

Outer worlds was the first game where I felt wokeness, and at that time I did not know what it was. Something was off, fist attractive partner - lesbian, spineless man partner. This all felt really uncomformable.

Disagree with Vara here. Expedition 33 might be "worth" $80 but it wouldn't have been as successful or generated half the good will it did if it had launched at $80.

Basically £30 from the days of £30 games is worth about £60 today

So after paying $60 canadian for Expedition 33 they expect me to shell out $99.99 for Outerworlds 2 thats absolute insanity. I enjoyed Outerworlds 1 for what it was but even though I did buy the DLC I have never been able to bring myself to even bother playing it and they want me to pay more for the base game of Outerworlds 2 than any other base game in my entire life? Also Avowed hurt what I think of Obsidian and after that I have no desire to play their games
In canada its been for triple a games $80 for most,$90 for greedy shit like EA games,COD,ubisoft games and then this random tier that is $93.49 and even though its just 3.50 I refuse to pay over fucking $90. Obsidian hasn't been worth full price for a while yet, much less at this new inflated madness. Modern gaming makes it far too easy to just pass and play the backlog.

Its about "first glance perceived worth". For me $70 is when you start thinking is something worth it or not and do your research.

And honestly this game should not be researched, because thenuou would encounter spoilers, which would diminish your experience significantly.

$80 price tag is going to kill non-free to play multiplayer games. Without high day one numbers, they wont have a healthy community.

To me, Obsidian died years ago. Like many other veteran studios, Obsidian is barely even the same studio that made the great games in the past.

The point is, yes game can be $80, as long as it offer the value accordingly.

I bought the first one used for 10€ and then gave it away for free just bevause I wanted it out of my house.

the game is actually 100 dollars... the 80 dollars do not count since its NOT the full game... the ACTUAL game costs 100 BUCKS! people should stop mentioning the lower price altogether, thats NOT what the game costs... thats what the butchered version costs thats not the full game
