My dad always said even if people didnt agree with Harper our lives would never have changed as drastically as they have under Trudeau. My dad manufactured docks all his life and could tell a liberal person from a conservative person from the moment their vehicle pulled in the driveway. Sitting there as a young kid I watched my dad deal with both types. Liberals demand he do everything at the cheapest possible and cut them deals and conservative people where just happy that they could save $10,000 compared to his competitors and he serviced his stuff if it broke. My dad worked till 2 am every single day welding docks under the Trudeau government to raise 6 boys and 4 girls by himself while running a farm and being self employeed. I watched as my father raised us under the Harper government, make money and providing for us and ive watched as hes slowly declined to a man just barely hanging on under Trudeau and the liberals. Barely able to afford the materials to work let alone farm and provide for his family. Now we've got liberal voters preaching that the same government thats kept us down for so long is the best choice. I wont stand by and watch as every hard working canadian is screwed by the liberal people of this country.

My parents’ business was wrecked by the Harper Government (independent french translation). It really marred their opinion of him. Had i been mature enough at the time to understand how economics work, i would have most likely appreciated this guy much more. Instead, i voted NPD twice. Like the moron i was. Not anymore.

Marc Carney is not Trudeau and PP is not Harper. I used to admire and support Harper but now, quite disappointed about him. In 2008 at World Economy Bank summit, Harper nominated Marc Carney as one who helped him to lead Canada out from the most destructive depression that's taking a huge toll on the world except Canada. And nothing good he had said about PP or recognition during the time PP working under his cabinet at all. And now, come this announcement.

Honestly, if I were in his position and for the sake of Canada, I would not say what he is. Rather, if I put party over country, I will just bite my tongue just like Harper did the whole time during Andrew Scheer's campaigning.
